This is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen!
After two years of knowing my twins Taako and Lup (see below), I’m finally getting my partner into Balance and had the inevitable when do we meet Lup conversation, hoping to use it as incentive to get him through the whole the thing
TAZ BALANCE TIME WOOHOO
She Rises.
I originally wanted to draw this scene but didn’t have time, but now someone from instagram commissioned me to! :)))
it always bugs me when i see ppl going “oh i used to hc taako as nonbinary but now i can’t bc lup is a trans woman and if he was nb it would mean that lup would have to be cis cause 4 taako to be nb and have them still be identical twins they’d both hafta be afab”
like... y’all do realize that amab nonbinary ppl exist right? like it’s super annoying that ppl have watered being nb down to just ‘gnc afab person in skinny jeans and a binder’ and that excludes sooo many nb ppl, myself included!
in which Lup steals Barry’s jean jacket and he never gets it back ♥️ ✨

Every now and then I see a very anger fueled post by a cis person condemning "transphobic" media by other cis people, sometimes by trans people!!! Instead of ranting how horrible something is (usually confining gender into what they consider to be "correct") maybe calm down and think for a second.
A popular post was going around about the podcast The Adventure Zone with people drawing Taako (a gay cis character) with a skirt, and his twin sister Lup (a transgender woman, MtF) with short hair (a masculine trait, according to them)
The post detailed that it's wrong to draw Taako in that outfit because that stereotypes gay people. However, Taako canonically wears a skirt, full stop.
Now his sister, Lup, is a rambunctious pyromaniac that has never followed a single rule in her life, and you think she's gonna make sure she looks feminine??
So let's put aside the fact they're fictional characters for now and focus on what's really happening, because an artist drawing these characters like this is not the issue. Cis people are desperate to categorize gender and what it means to be that gender. It's human nature to want things black and white, so see a trans woman looking even remotely "masculine"? Transphobia!!!! It must be! This artist is making a trans character not fit into what they see as feminine, they must hate trans people.
The only transphobic art of Lup I have ever seen was suggesting she was mlm (she has a cis male bf). Now, you attacking artists that draw this MtF fictional character (who doesn't have a canonical appearance) as even remotely masculine? That's transphobic.
I'm FtM, and I'm finally FINALLY comfortable to be myself, a flamboyant gay man. I have long hair, I wear nail polish, I live in floral patterns, and I'm a man who also has a full beard.
What was that quote? Something like "I didn't spend my whole life breaking out of a box just to be put in another one"
