Reincarnation. Also because of the new reveals about the Tsarista and a popular theory I keep seeing is that Ajax is called Childe because he reminds the Tsarista of her lost child so merged them together. I know that he is around his early 20s so I tried to keep it in mind when creating this. Hope you enjoy as I’m slowly trying to get out of a writing slump.
Basically Childe!mc first life was that of the Tsarista child and he had a happy life with his mother. He was always by his mother’s side and is very close to her. They lived in khaeriah and it was peaceful until he was around five years old and the catalyst was about to happen. The Tsarista froze him to preserve him but his soul moved on to his next life. His body remained and no one realized it. Because of his forced containment , his mother created the fatui to revive her son after she sensed he died. Her heart is frozen and she has only love remaining for her dear son. She froze him after realizing her son would died and was a target by the heavenly principles.
His second life is as Ajax!mc. He has little memory of his first life. All he remember is a woman with cold hands giving him warmth and a loving look in her eyes when she sees him. He is living with his family and is close to his baby siblings. When he wanders into the abyss, he becomes close to skirk and she calls herself his big sister. They are extremely close. She trained him to be strong because she couldn’t handle him dying young and wants to make the odds of survival possible for the young teenager. He is around 13. After he leaves the abyss, he heads home to his family, thinking they are concerned about him. His mother and father believed that something was wrong with him and that he was not really Ajax. His siblings reject him too. They and their village they lived in, all rejected the young teenager. Ajax, who is heartbroken by this, heads to snezhnograd to find a job and a place to stay. While he is trying to make money, he still has dreams of a nice women with long white hair giving him a motherly smile. That dream that he doesn’t realize is a memory is something that helps him through the struggles of survival and the pain of the rejection he faced at the hands of his village and family. He starts working at a toy shop, making toys to people. He is steadfast in trying to make people lives better. He is working hard to make people in his community happy and they appreciate that and try to help out the young man. The owner of the toy shop is sad that he has to employ such a young man and is sad to know that Ajax is all alone. He lets the boy stay in the shop for free and keeps giving him money even when Ajax doesn’t ask.
While this is going on, the Tsarista is planning her revenge for her son, she starts to experience strange dreams. First she sees her son and then he turns around and it a teen with ginger hair and blue eyes, smiling at her. she is confused and doesn’t know why this random person shows up in her dreams. She has them for weeks and slowly loses it. She sneaks into snezhnograd and looks for the teen. She finds him in a small toy store making a doll for a customer. She is just watching him in secret. She doesn’t notice anything special and keeps watching him in secret as the 13 year old is working on toys. After a while she starts to realize that this boy is her beloved son reborn. She becomes pained by the idea of her son working. And becomes enraged that his old family abandoned HER SON when she overheard him talking about it with people. She is pissed off and does something drastic, she cuts off all funding for the village and put harsh taxes and restrictions to the area to make them suffer. While she does that she is still secretly watching him. Ajax is steadfast is his morales of trying to help people and better those around him. She is annoyed because he is too soft at times but then remembers how soft he was when was young and just accepted it. She is returning the palace and says nothing to harbingers. She is planning his new life with her. Her precious son, her sole reason to turn against the world.
Ajax is excited because the young teen is given a week off by his boss. And it’s on his birthday, he can’t believe his luck. He explores more of the city and even found a cheap apartment close to his work so he doesn’t have to depend on his boss. On one of his days off, after checking in with his boss, he disappeared. The Tsarista took him personally. He is in her palace and is called the prince or tsarcvitch by the Tsarista. The fatui haven’t even seen him and have no idea what is going on including the habringers. They all know that there is a teenage boy roaming the halls of the palace and they all are trying to see if they can catch a glimpse of him.
Snezhnograd and the rest of snezheyha are shocked by the revelation of an heir. And it’s their helpful friend Ajax who was a toy maker. They are instantly loving this little heir. Ajax is in shock during this whole ordeal and he looks like a ghost. He feels bad for abandoning his old boss at the toy shop so the Tsarista paid the man as a thank you. Ajax still visits the man and still is making toys. When the old man died, he willed the shop to Ajax and Ajax runs the store and it is considered luxurious even though the prices are cheap and Ajax gives away toys for free. He wants to make children smile so badly. The Tsarista doesn’t allow him out of her sight. She changed his clothes to be very elegant and after attempting to give him a cyro vision, his powers from his mother are activated. And a special seal was created, it looks like the tsarista’s but has a few tweaks to symbolize its her child. The archons heard something about a child but don’t investigate since the Tsarista doesn’t want them in her country. Immediately after Tsarista knows that Ajax is alive, the fatui has been undergoing cuts. They now are part of the police force and are going to different sectors of the government and operatives in other nations are heading home. So mondstadt doesn’t happen because no fatui killing crepus. They did attack him but the prince of snow appeared and defended him. Diluc and kaeya got to see a kid close to their age defend their father and then give a large purse of gold for treatment, they both want to know his name but he smiles and disappears. The two often dream about the boy dressed in white.
Ajax after doing that is locked in the palace to be formally introduced by the habringers. The girls are immediately liked him. Arlecchino was shocked when Ajax made custom toys for the house of hearth. The other fatui are a little stiff. Pierro and Capitano noticed his eyes and beg the Tsarista for answers and she explained everything. Now Ajax has 2 overprotective uncles. The others are slowly getting use to him. Childe has never really mentioned his journey to the abyss and accidentally mentions it at dinner with his mother and the habringers and they are all doing a double take, you survived what? You are trained to do what? You survive there for how long? Your old village did what, after you survived that? Angry habringers. Pantalone and dottore literally were shunned by their nations so they are pissed. The others are mad because that’s a kid. They all are now overprotective of him. Every one of them is looking for an excuse to destroy that village but need to do it secretly. Sorry Ajax, you are not able to leave sneyhneya again without a harbinger or a group of armed guards. They follow him around and don’t leave him be. Pantalone is giving him money just to spend it. Dottore is creating healing potions just so the tsarivich doesn’t get sick. La signora is often the one he goes to show his dolls to, Ajax healed a lot of her rage over her lovers death. Sandrone likes to watch him meddle with the toys he is making for fun. Columbina likes to sing to comfort the 14 year old as she knows he is still hurt from his family abandoning him. Arlecchino is watching over him and even has the house of hearth come so he isn’t alone. The rooster is giving him books to enjoy and helping him start to plan how to be a good heir. Wanderer is also listening to his rambling and helps him get better, he does think he is too delicate and should be sitting and relaxing. Pierro and Capitano are two overprotective and overpowered uncles that are teaching him about his culture.
While the habringers are going crazy, Anastasia and Ajax are becoming a closer mother and son duo. She is happy about how he is turning out but still keeps him hidden out of fear. No more leaving the country if she can help it. She is making him meals, reading books with him and caring for him. He is going to events with his mom. They are happy together.
As the years go by the archons get more and more concerned about the lack of activity involving the fatui and the rumors of a mysterious heir and child of the Tsarista. As the archons slowly apply pressure, the Tsarista decides that she and her son will go to mondstadt for talks. The habringers are also going as they refuse to leave them be. Ajax is now 18 and his is a little nervous but is staying by his mother.
At mondstadt, the archons are waiting with their entourages for the carriages of the cyro archon. Crepus and his boys are waiting too because the boys were curious. When the carriage arrives and the Tsarista steps out, the archons demand to know where her child is as they know she has a kid. After the yelling gets too much for Ajax, he leaves the carriage to support his mother. He is staring at the archons and their groups with anger. The archons are shocked to see a young man staring them down. They can sense his powers and are like yeah that is the tsarista’s kid. Kaeya and diluc are shocked to know that Ajax is the one who saved their dad. Diluc has a crush on the ginger and kaeya is poking fun at his brother’s luck for his crush being an archons kid, and it’s the archon that their nation has the most delicate relationship with.
During the talks, the Tsarista says that the point of the fatui was to revive her dead son but her son reincarnated on his own and is here with her so the fatui no longer is needed. She explains that the fatui are now police force and are now in other sectors of government. The habringers are now her ministers. The archons are not believing this.
While this is going on, Ajax is allowed to explore and has columbina and sandrone and wanderer as his guards. He is handing out toys for the kids in mondstadt and doesn’t care about the looks he is getting. Kaeya finds this the perfect chance to help his big brother and starts talking to Ajax. He then leaves and diluc and Ajax get to talking. They are having a good time and Diluc shows the prince the town and even gets him food. The two are enjoying it. Kaeya managed to distract the three habringers and knows he is going to get yelled at but doesn’t care.
By the time the meeting is over, the Tsarista and archons are finding a passed out Ajax and diluc cuddling.the three habringers show up and get chewed out a little. Kaeya later, gets a gift from his brother.

Though, i do wonder if Childe!MC ever went back to his village to see his family one last time, to see if theh realized their mistake in chasing him away.
Or maybe the Fatui, or the Tsaritsa really, stops by to have a chat with HER son's former family.
Oh, and here's an idea! Treucer! What if he was just a baby when Childe!MC was chased out and had no clue he had another older sibling?
Like can you imagine he finds out and in a childish fit of hurt and anger, runs away to Snezhnograd to try and find his missing big brother. I can already imagine the meeting would be emotional for both sides...
