About the ceryskitty thing u literally invalidated their identity under the guise of trying to educate them. U came off as pretty condescending and act as thought by identifying as grey-ace they're harming the community unknowingly,,,like yeah maybe the roots off the term are problematic but when u consider how many ppl don't know this and strongly indentify with it u can't just go around telling them "the way u are is bad, have a nice day"

The dismissal of harmful identities is not invalidation, and as somebody who has to deal with the hell that is currently the ace community, I’m going to repeat that no, I’m not going to let people happily identify as any of the “grey ace” sexualities. All three ace groups I’ve been in have been dismantled by “demisexual” people claiming that they’re marginalised and then proceeding to infantilise asexual people.

Asexuality is black and white. There is either somebody who is sexual or somebody who is not. Anything along the lines of “I feel no sexual attraction unless I’m close to somebody” is a preference and not a sexuality. Anybody who thinks it is a sexuality is harming an already often-overlooked sexuality group.

Lastly, I apologise for coming off as rude, but I wasn’t the one who began insulting ceryskitty for having an opposing opinion. I am still waiting for my apology from her.

Yep! Born and raised French Canadian. Well, bilingual Canadian. I really am mostly English at this point thanks to friends, TV and Internet, but I was raised Francophone.
