Tachyonic
First of all; I love Villains’ Code. I love the increasingly ridiculous dynamic between Tachyonic and Hephaestus. And I adore the moment in Chilling Reflections when the security suddenly stops shooting at Hephaestus at she turns to see Tachyonic casually leaning against the wall with zero fear of her. Kyle thinks he’s so cool in that moment for stopping the security measures with his mere presence and acting all friendly with the “villain” who’s been weirdly helpful in the past. Meanwhile, Tori just thinks he’s an idiot for assuming she’s not a threat. Like, “he’s right of course, but he doesn’t KNOW that!”. It’s so funny! Second of all; You don’t realize how vague a book description is until you try to draw it. The entire description of Tachyonic’s costume was basically “blue”. So I had to design this super suit, which I imagine you can clearly see is not my forte. So, uh… yeah. That exists now. Third of all; Short hair is evil to draw. Specifically masculine haircut kind of short. Anything chin length or longer is simple. It’s heavy enough to be bound by the laws of gravity and I know exactly where each hair is going. Down. Even if you get a full ‘fro that doesn’t really obey gravity, you still know where it’s going. Everywhere. I can figure out braids, buns, etc. But short masculine hairstyles? I have no clue what the heck any of those are doing. Nor do I know anything about different masculine hairstyles. So basically, if you’re wondering why Kyle’s hair is still in pencil when everything else is colored, it’s because I haven’t the slightest clue how to draw anything on his stupid head that doesn’t look ridiculous.
