I just like Wong cause he is/was part of the group and I was hoping for improvement but it's all fine cause I love the others. IDK if you know what the podcast My Brother My Brother And Me is, it's an "advice show" (they give horrible advice to listener questions and Yahoo answers) and they were asked by a listener "my boyfriend goes to the pantry and eats uncooked fettuccine pasta raw and he calls them chips how do I make him stop" and it made me think of Sam so I had to tell you 😂 Kaidan shows up in the mess at 0100 and finds Sam reading a datapad eating uncooked pasta. The horror. The betrayal. The utter confusion. Thanks for being awesome about my ask spams, you're awesome even tho you hurt my heart on a regular basis lol. Lots of love ❤️❤️

Ahahahaha, I definitely know MBMBAM. [puts on hipster hat] I was there for their first episode, and even went to one of their first live shows. The Yahoo Answers questions give me life. 

The pasta thing is 100% something Sam would do. 

Kaidan: WTF.

Sam: What? 

Kaidan: That’s pasta.

Sam: Nothing gets past you, does it? 

Kaidan: It’s uncooked pasta. 

Sam: [crunches pasta]

Kaidan: WHY. 

Sam: What happened the last time I tried to boil water? 

Kaidan: ...

Sam: [innocent look]

Kaidan: [grumbles] [grabs box of pasta] [turns on the stove] [mutters]

my favorite bit by FAR was when the haunted doll was sideways and they tried to turn it the right way and then you could only see her feet and then they added a smaller picture of the doll on top and kept moving it around. i was laughing so hard that i started having trouble breathing

Not able to watch AH lately, but what the hell is Among Us and is it worth watching to someone who really only watches Gmods these days? thanks hope you have a great day

hope you have a great day too!! among us is really fun game i was just playing it like 15 minutes ago, i would say def watch ah's vids or their individual twitch streams cause it's very similar to TTT

basically everyone is an astronaut on a space ship but the ship is broken down so they all have to go around the ship and do tasks to repair it. there's an imposter (or multiple, the server's host can change the #) and they try to kill people. if someone calls an emergency meeting or reports a dead body you enter a voting page to either skip or eject someone off the ship

the crew mates win if all tasks get completed or if the imposter gets ejected, and the imposter wins if everyone else is killed/ejected

but yeah it's pretty similar to TTT / murder / deceit as it's one of those "find the secret bad person" games

(projecting again, and you may have already written something about this, but...) The misfit squad orders sushi for a little family dinner. As they start digging in with their chopsticks and slurping soups, they notice Sam has a fork and is stabbing his sushi roll to eat it. They tentatively ask him why he isn't using chopsticks. He says he doesn't know how. The next two hours consist of every one of them trying and failing to show him how to use chopsticks, he gets very frustrated and threatens to leave if they don't let him eat with a fork in peace. And Kaidan, blessed Kaidan, actually gets up, gets behind Sam, and puts the chopsticks in his hand the correct way and (WHILE HOLDING SAM'S HAND) demonstrates how to pick up a piece of sushi whole. Neither of them find this to be intentionally flirty or anything, but the rest of the squad /definitely/ picks up on it. Coming from yours truly who struggled for three years to use chopsticks and finally learned from my ex holding my hand and moving my fingers to show me. Sam seems like he might need similar assistance. Lots of love. 😅❤️❤️❤️

Oh my god this is amazing. (I also cannot use chopsticks, and my policy towards seafood is generally ‘leave it in the sea.’)

The mental image of Kaidan physically helping Sam figure it out with neither of them seeing anything intimate about it is going to put me on the floor for the rest of the day, I’ll have you know.

Kaidan: You never tell me anything about yourself. 

Sam: Huh. That’s fair. Ok, about me...well. I learned biotics from a krogan through a secret program that no one knows exists outside of top brass, and now you, who I’ve known for about five minutes. Oh, and my dad is likely being tortured by batarians and has been for almost ten years. 

Kaidan: ...I was kinda thinking we'd start with favorite colors, but ok.

Sam: ... 

Kaidan: ... 

Kaidan: I killed my teacher.

They’re such goobers and I love them.

So the song Boys by Henry Jamison makes me think of Sam cause the line "all the baby boys, they're dressing them in blue, teaching them that life's a war." it's a good song and I have Sam on the brain now. Also hi lots of love hope you're well ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Oh man, do I have Sam on the brain right now. We’re gonna get a good look at exactly that train of thought in regards to Torfan coming up:

No. She supposes someone like Sam Shepard never had a choice. Son of an N and an ambitious Alliance captain, mentored by the likes of David Anderson. He was born with strings attached, and the worst part is, he sees them.

Sad-to-happy holiday headcanon for my Shep ahead: my Earthborn Shep has always been a grinch during the holidays. He doesn't get it, he's always alone anyway. He isn't gonna rain on anybody's parade tho, but he just avoids holidays/birthdays/etc religiously. But that all changes on the Normandy when somebody non-human wants to celebrate a holiday, expressing concern that it won't be accepted/they'll be judged or feel weird/they have no one to celebrate with anyway, and Shep loses it. He helps decorate/cook/whatever is customary for a foreign holiday that he knew nothing about an hour ago. Because goddammit if someone wants to celebrate something that means a lot to them, he's gonna make sure there's a safe space for it to happen on this blasted ship, even if it's just for five minutes. That's when he slowly begins to realize this crew isn't just a crew, it's HIS crew, and it's bleeding over into becoming family, and that mortifies him but it's too late to turn back even if he wants to lol. Thanks for listening to me, and I hope you have a happy holiday and a wonderful new year and give the pets extra kisses from me! ❤️

Bored curiosity time! If Sam could've done anything with his career what would it be? Childhood ideas of his dream job? Something he's always thought "if only I had that kind of talent" or "if I'd pursued it when I was younger" or "maybe after I retire?" My Shep would've been a musician playing guitar if it could've gotten him off the streets as a kid. If you're sneaky you might catch him singing and humming when he thinks he's alone. I would love to know if Sam has any similar dreams (old or new ones) or little quirks that come with that passion or skill. Lots of love ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Sam actually had no aspirations outside the Alliance. Since both of his parents built their careers there, it’s all he ever wanted to do. He grew up surrounded by ships, saw uniforms everywhere he went. It never occurred to him there could be anything else. 

He wanted to be an officer like his mother, and never did well enough in school to really think he had the chops for being an engineer, or a pilot, what have you. 

I think he’s going to struggle a lot once he decommissions his armor and leaves the Alliance. He doesn’t know who he is outside of it, because he’s never tried to imagine it.

If you caught him early in life, before he got swept up in hero-worshiping his mother, he might have wanted to go into astrophysics. He’s smart enough to do it, even if he doesn’t think so. He could just never sit still long enough to prove it (though I’d like to think we’ve made a lot of strides in neurodivergent education by the time we get to the 2150s).

He loves the stars so much. Even Alchera doesn’t change that.
