A silver locket from mum. It contains a picture of her and dad (my step dad). I’ve had it for years and it brings me comfort whenever I wear it (so sappy).

I don’t remember a great deal of it but when I was 5 mum and I visited Venice (She spoils me). It was so cool, all the canals, the food, the architecture. Mostly it was so great being with mum and I would so love to take her there again.

5 years into the past for sure. For all the typical reasons. Fix mistakes, avoid crappy people, etc.

★★★ for sharit!
The first gift Sharit ever gives Dra’Haya is a circlet similar to the one he first caught her trying to steal. It’s not made of gold like the original was, but copper, but he argues it still suits her just as well and this one’s not stolen so therefore is even better. She’s amazed he’d even give her anything, let alone something as thoughtful as this. From time to time he likes to surprise her with random pieces of jewellery - all legitimately bought of course, not stolen - and a fair few are similar to pieces she’s tried and failed to steal, or that he’s seen her eyeing up whilst out and about.
Sharit never gets used to the stares and weird looks and hostility that greets him and Dra’Haya in Skyrim. For a long time he wishes they could go back to Elseweyr, but they committed to their decision to move and so will stick it out as long as they are able - plus the whole her being the Dragonborn thing kind up puts a stopper in any plans to return for a good while, since apparently she has to stay to defeat Alduin, and he would rather not return without her. He’s never fully sure most of the time if Dra’Haya is simply immune to people’s harsh words and snap judgements of them, or if she’s better at hiding it. Either way, every time someone calls him ‘cat’ or ‘khajiit’ it makes him miss home that bit more.
Sharit is generally a rather quiet person. He’s definitely not the talker out of him and Dra’Haya, and he is content to let her tell him all about her day and her recent adventures and for him to listen quietly. To people who don’t know him they sometimes misread it as being stoic and intimidating (especially mixed with his large stature), but the most intimidating thing about him is how effortlessly he can wield gigantic weapons.

GOOD. He needs a friend. Most of the Children of Atom are slow to warm up to him when he joins him (and yet, they’re still friendlier than most people, in his experience). He’d be lucky to have Stella as a friend, honestly.

a short list of reasons why i’m really loving the idea of elisif x margot rn
first and foremost, ladies supporting other ladies. elisif’s got this beautiful heart and she’s sweet and i feel like she really wants to help skyrim’s people, but her political acumen needs some sharpening. margot’s about as morally bankrupt as they come, but she’s cunning and she knows how to play the political game. they can help each other out.
(given, margot initially cozies up to elisif because she really wants proudspire manor (aka the only house in skyrim up to her high standards) and she’s only getting that with a thanehood. somewhere along the way, margot realizes that not only does she like serving elisif, she likes elisif, period.)
margot, probably: oh SHIT this wasn’t part of my plan but damn i really do love her
elisif takes a shine to margot from the beginning, but who wouldn’t? margot’s beautiful, charming, witty, etc. etc. which allows her to fit in at court, but she’s also utterly unintimidated by people in power. so is most of elisif’s court, but that just gives them a reason to not take elisif seriously. margot doesn’t treat elisif as some glorified figurehead or as a helpless child -- but as a person.
and honestly, elisif’s been through a lot. she needs a friend: someone who she can talk to that will actually listen and offer advice.
also margot serves as a handy tiebreaker when bryling and erikur can’t agree on policy issues, which is 110% of the time.
so that got me thinking about all sorts of other things:
margot acting as a liason between elisif and tullius. elisif trusts margot to give her the information she needs to know as a future ruler and decision-maker, and tullius trusts that the dragonborn is going to turn the tide of the war in favor of the empire.
margot using her status as listener to sniff out plots against elisif and “take care” of the people who would dare to hurt one of the only people she wholeheartedly loves. elisif has learned to accept this bloody protectiveness of her lover’s.
(their only real fight came with margot’s inadvertent revelation that she was an assassin when she climbed through elisif’s window looking for a place to hide while the penitus oculatus were hunting her. elisif was livid and ngl a little heartbroken, but she hid her all the same.)
elisif doesn’t want to hear about the people margot has killed to keep her safe. she just wants margot to be safe.
elisif getting margot into the thalmor embassy party because while she may (grudgingly) listen to tullius and go to elenwen’s parties to show that she’s not an enemy of theirs, she doesn’t trust the thalmor one bit. and if anyone can stick it to the thalmor, it’s margot.
just... the high queen of skyrim and the last dragonborn, faithful friends and lovers: the sort of deep connection that the bards college loves to churn out songs about
