Im crawling out of my hole long enough to make this post. Fire Emblem Heroes is getting way too hard. It’s no longer fun, because the stages are so ridiculously difficult you’d have to have an entire team made up of Hector to do any damage.
The rewards are totally unequal to the work you have to do to get them, which makes it hard to win orbs and feathers to further yourself in the game.
And it’s getting to the point where if I see one more character in the game in another costume I’m going to delete the app off the app store myself. Games like Heroes and Warriors SHOULD’VE had huge rosters, to encompass everyone, but instead we’ve got the same 4 people over and over and over again.
Not to mention, lets look at Shadows of Valeninta flopping because it was too hard, lacked character customization and kids which was a big draw to Awakening and Fates. They’re doing that to Heroes. Making it too hard for the casual player to play, and the problem they’re going to run into is that the casual player makes up the majority of their market. Sure, appealing to a niche market is fine, but your Fire Emblem niche market doesn’t have enough income to keep it afloat without the rest of us who are being told to, plainly, go fuck ourselves.
This blog is most likely never coming off Hiatus, but if anyone is curious i’m on Ao3 writing still, and some of it’s Fire Emblem. I just needed to get on and rant, because Heroes is pissing me off. It’s a mobile game--it should be fun and quick, not so ridiculously tedious you have to dedicate hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars into it. The hundreds of hours is fine for a console game--not my damn phone.
