Someone made a tadaoka fic and I added it on my "to read" list just because. I dont think I have ever thought about the ship, but I will be reading it lmao.

ok here’s my ‘free tadashi 2k21′ AU:

Kiriko doesn’t get shoved aside for no freaking reason and instead gets to lead a search on Adam’s house

Along with finding proof of perjury or whatever politician bullshit she was originally investigating Adam for, Kiriko’s search party also find Adam’s creepy screen room and learn about S, Adam’s assaults on other people, and his literal stalking of Langa and Reki

After Adam and Langa’s beef, Kiriko and the cops show up to arrest Adam

Adam gets charged with perjury, aggravated assault, stalking, etc. and goes the fuck to jail, where he also receives court mandated therapy because god knows he needs it 

Also before he gets arrested, Joe decks Adam across the face, it’s very cathartic 

(Adam’s aunts also get jailed for Politician Crimes or whatever because I fucking hate them and they deserve consequences for their horrible actions)

Tadashi gets taken in for questioning and although he is technically an accomplice (or like? complicit bystander??) considering he’s literally been in the Shindo family’s service since he was a child he doesn’t get charged with anything since its not as if he was ever taught he could have any other option besides complacency 

Tadashi also gets therapy because he has lot of deep seated guilt and toxic ideas he needs to work through 

Maybe after they’ve both worked through some of their issues and grown separately as individuals Tadashi and Adam agree to start up a tentative friendship again, as equals 

Kiriko gets a promotion but because it’s actually what she deserves, not because the writers needed an excuse for her to not search Adam’s place

Ok here’s where this AU becomes complete self indulgence: 

Since he’s not working as a secretary for Adam/the Shindos any more Tadashi is left job hunting and eventually ends up in a full time position at DOPE SKETCH, maybe as an accountant? 

Tadashi gets adopted into the skateboarding found family as a weird chill uncle/older cousin figure and gets to re-discover his own love for skating and how fun it is 

Tadashi and Oka get together purely because I think it’d be funny and also Tadashi deserves nice things to happen in his life

After busting S Kiriko takes up skateboarding as a secret guilty pleasure hobby because she actually found it pretty cool

The found family recognise her one evening in a local skatepark and she also gets adopted into their squad as a badass aunt 

Reki and Langa get together because like.. c’mon, they’re blatantly in love 

Joe and Cherry visit Adam in jail and finally get some closure with him

also they’re dating because I believe in matchablossom supremacy 

Shadow gets together with his manager from the flower shop (who gets an actual name) in a cute romcom-esque series of shenanigans, turns out that guy he saw her hugging was like her older brother or something idk 

Everyone lives happily after and Adam gets the actual fucking consequences for his actions like he deserves, as well as therapy

( *disclaimer: i  literally give zero fucks if you thought the finale was great or ship tadaai or whatever, this is not a personal attack on you or your interpretation of ep 12, you do you. we’re all entitled to our own opinions and mine’s is that the finale was dissatisfying and adam should be in jail)
