Coming back from The Wilted: Of Truth and Madness - Chapter 9 You plan to explicitly show/tell the meaning of Iris or Alkazar avatars? We know that on tadc the avatars are made based on their Traumas/Strongest Feelings, personally i think if the person doesnt have a trauma this will lead to a avatar they probably like but the bad memories and feelings are often the strongest one's that change our lifes Iris being of porcelain can be because she's too fragile? She's not a coward (or doesnt looks like one) but maybe fragile, the reason of her avatar may be related to the reason of why she doesnt like shooting at the head? Also we know about alkazar past as a circus performer so i guess his avatar meaning is almost the same as kinger one

Yes, and I plan on explaining the OC’s a bit without giving way too much of the bigger details of their backstory. You pretty much nailed Alkazar’s motif but I’ll be a little more specific with him and Iris with the information I’m willing to share (on behalf of @shy1diot , I hope you’re ok with this!)

Alkazar - He was a jester when he performed back during his circus years as a real person, but was under a lot of mistreatment and pressure from his peers and his own boss. Iris was the only one who actually gave him love and respect (hence they’re in a relationship), and she was the one who designed his costumes when they worked together.

Iris - She’s a marionette because they’re often seen as things that are usually controlled OR held back. In Iris’ case, it’s a constant feeling of helplessness and feeling the inability to prevent harm/discord amongst her friends and loved ones with a lot of blame on herself for not being able to do anything. While it involves Alkazar’s human life, it applies to several other elements in her human life (which continued in the circus via abstractions).

This is essentially what I’m willing to say out loud here and save the bigger details for the fanfic so anyone else reading has an understanding of the symbolism behind them at an early rate, THEN the heavy hitters hit worse with the serious details. And it’s not for the faint of heart in either Alkazar or Iris’ case.
