Each torture inflicted taking in mind their insecurities and traumas:

Star

Insecurity: Not always being there to help and support those who need it and those who she loves

Trauma: Her species (Orchid Tigers) was classified as dangerous and was to be exterminated. Her parents were persecuted, and she conjured a spell with the strength of her faith to get them out of there and appear on another planet, rescuing all the three of them.

Black Mind

Insecurity: Being perceived as a monster, an aberration, a freak because of the scars of her eyes and mouth.

Trauma: Her stepbrothers held her captive in her room and tortured her, injecting a black liquid into her eyes and filing her teeth into fangs, deforming her and turning her into what they called a "Monster," causing her to escape from her home even though she couldn't see anything around her.

Lester

Insecurity: Being seen as an easy target for abuse, being mocked either to his face or behind his back.

Trauma: He was a victim of severe and violent bullying at his old school, even being stabbed once. He was constantly tormented by his bullies and was never able to defend himself.

Silven

Insecurity: Not being able to protect others, feeling that as a ghost, instead of helping, he scares and drives others away.

Trauma: He was stabbed to death in the liver during a robbery at the building where he was the security guard. They didn't manage to rob the building, but after killing him, the criminals backed down and escaped. He was found dead hours later, while he remained in the limbo between life and death, becoming a specter, a ghost.

Tickly

Insecurity: Being seen as annoying, disposable, useless.

Trauma: She's considered a failed experiment since it was supposed to be a killing machine, but instead, it turned out to be an adorable and friendly humanoid robot that couldn't even kill a fly. It was discarded on the street without having eaten or anything, thrown away like trash in an alley.

Zyan

Insecurity: That her experiments are considered childish or useless, being perceived as an immature girl just because her experiments aim to make others laugh or be happy.

Trauma: She doesn't have an experience that could be considered traumatic compared to the others.

Fandub

Insecurity: Being considered childish, too gullible, or easily manipulated.

Trauma: He doesn't have an experience that is considered traumatic.
