Opinion on the Fire Emblem direct? The fact that a new game inspired by Gaidan is coming out soon, the Warriors game, Echoes (the mobile game), a new main series game next year? Echoes is just Final Fantasy Exvius- an 'original story' with summoned units from the other games, and Warriors games is the same, but the rest look pretty promising from what we know.

Just gave the Twitch vod a quick look.

The Gaidan re-imagining has me a little worried.  I don’t believe Gaidan was a particularly good game, and Intelligent Systems’ recent attempts to remake much older entries in the series (Like Shadow Dragon and New Mystery of the Emblem) have not resulted in terribly good games, at least in my opinion.  That being said, the artwork looks pretty nice, and I’d love to see them manage to succeed with a remake.  I’d much rather see something of Thracia 776 though, personally.

I’m not much of a Warriors player, but people seemed to enjoy Hyrule Warriors well enough, and I feel Fire Emblem lends itself nicely to that kind of side game.

They didn’t really have much at all to share for the new mainline Switch game coming out in 2018, so I feel like I can’t really comment much on it.  Something in the vein of Radiant Dawn would be pretty nice, especially since it’d be a console game while still maintaining the option of playing on a handheld.  Could potentially be good stuff, I really wish they had more to share for it.

I actually rather liked the FE: Heroes mobile game they showed.  It looks super simple with the tiny mobile phone-sized maps, but being able to collect a bunch of characters that you dig and putting together a team sounds like a really fun little side game.  The art quality looks pretty fantastic, made even better given the variety of artists they’re getting to do work on it.  I’m especially a fan of how they appear to be pulling in a lot of characters from all throughout the series, and sometimes even villains, too (Narcian!).  Voicework for all characters is a cute additional touch.  I’m honestly pretty excited to try it out sometime.

Overall it seems like a pretty nice offering, and it feels a little weird to say that I’m most excited for the mobile game, of all things.

☼: Which tropes do you find overused/boring?

I’m not a fan of a few things in my own roleplay, but I suppose the biggest most obvious one is having babies. I just don’t find kid roleplay even remotely appealing. A lot of people seem to do the “we’re together, now we get married, now babies” thing, and that’s just not my jam.

(I can’t remember if this is for muse or mun so I’ll answer for both!)Shofie: She smash. She crushes things, breaks things, she tries to redirect as much as possible. She’s very emotional. She actually has a really good handle on this for the most part, but as you’ve witnessed a few times in RP, she tends to channel her anger into physical things and has smashed her share of countertops and broken glasses due to getting a bit too emotional about something. Unfortunately, her “go-to” emotion is anger. If she actually gets REALLY angry and loses control of it, she’d full on berserk, so she tries to avoid that as much as possible by either channeling or removing herself from the situation until she calms down.Lee: I vent, talk things out with people I trust. I used to have very bad anger problems, and I suppose in a fashion I always will, but I don’t smash like Shof. I’m far, far calmer than I was fifteen years ago, but it’s taken a lot of work.

Meatbun: What is your character’s favorite / most comforting food? (lance-of-fury)

PIZZA has become such a fast favourite with her. But nothing beats aldgoat curry over rice when she’s feeling nostalgic for the Sagolii.

But at the same time banana bread was the first thing Ceridwen baked for her, so that’ll always hold a place in her heart.

"I'm- I'm sorry, Rex, but...I can't do it- I just can't, not any more, not again...goodbye."

The crack had grown across her heart the moment her princess had opened her mouth, and instantly Rex knew something was wrong.

Not this wrong, though. Not so wrong as to be so utterly unsalvagable as this. 

Her blood boiled hot, for a few fleeting moments, and so many questions whipped through her mind that she wasn’t sure what to ask first- what she could possible say to offer a compromise. A plea bargain. To beg for mercy, for pity. How many times had she hesitated to fight for something and lost because of it?

But it didn’t matter, did it. Her princess- ... oh. Not her princess anymore, but- this woman who had so completely turned her life around, to whom she owed so much, was hurting. And Rex could not hug this better. Quite the contrary indeed.

Rex turns, to save the other woman the indignity of having to leave herself, her head in her hand- and trudges away without another word. 

Rex never darkens the Institute’s halls again.
