@markisms: “taengsic + *sigh* "why do i love you so much?"”
[5:40pm] “why do i love you so much?”
taeyeon stops moving, her right arm still in the air ready to hit the beat. she whips around to the face the source of the sudden interruption, the guilty pout on her lips making her seem like a puppy that just ruined her owner’s favourite pair of shoes.
she was in the middle of a game of beat saber, hence why she had her arms flying in the air just a few seconds ago. taeyeon was determined to beat sunny’s high score on Rap God, even if it killed her.
jessica looks at her, unimpressed. the living room of their shared apartment looks like it’s been destroyed by a hurricane. there are clothes hanging off all the furniture and about a dozen takeout boxes on just about every flat surface in the living room.
“taeyeon...”
“i’m sorry, baby but i-” if jessica could've seen taeyeon’s puppy eyes right now, she would've forgiven her girlfriend instantly. but silly taeyeon still had the VR goggles over her eyes.
“taeyeon, you still have the goggles on.”
“oh, right.” taeyeon finally reaches up to take the headset off. she blinks a few times as her eyes adjust to the light in the living room. when her gaze finally settles on her slightly annoyed but very sexy girlfriend, taeyeon shoots her a dorky lopsided smile.
“hey beautiful.”
jessica struggles to keep a straight on. how can she still be mad when her girlfriend just looks so adorable with her messy hair and stupid grin?
jessica just sighs and opens her arms for a long-overdue hug. taeyeon shuffles over and sinks into jessica’s embrace, almost purring in contentment.
“why do i love you so much?” jessica mumbles into taeyeon’s neck.

“Why would you buy this thing?” Jessica asked as she held up one of the fake ghosts Taeyeon had just brought home from the store. It had been laying between the grocery bags, glaring up at the ceiling, and it just about gave Jessica a heart attack when she went to grab the apples and got a handful of fake hair instead.
Taeyeon snickered as she put up the cereal and shrugged her shoulders.
“I thought it would be funny to scare you with. Plus, what’s Halloween without some spooky decorations?” She asked.
“No,” Jessica said, shoving the fake ghost back behind the plastic bags. “You know I don’t like scary things. Halloween is fine but I don’t want to be scared in my own house.” Taeyeon sighed and walked over to peer down at her new toy while Jessica huffed and walked over to put away the apples.
“So I’m guessing we’re not watching any horror movies this year either?”
“Nothing scarier than Tim Burton. You know this.” Taeyeon’s shoulders slumped and she looked at Jessica for a moment before an idea popped into her head.
“Maybe you don’t like scary things because you’ve never experienced the feeling of being scared.” Jessica gave her a look.
“I’m scared of the things that would scare me. Of course I’ve been scared before.” Taeyeon wasn’t listening. Her mind was already planning.
Two hours later, as they were getting ready for bed, Jessica padded off to the bathroom to take a shower. Moments later, there was a blood curdling scream and Taeyeon almost fell off the bed. Jessica came stomping back to the room and threw the fake ghost at her girlfriend, face flushed in embarrassment.
“What the hell was this doing in our shower? Seriously, Taeyeon, our neighbors are going to think I just got murdered!” Still laughing, Taeyeon picked up the ghost.
“That was so funny, I knew it would scare you.” Wiping the tears from her eyes, she quelled her laughter and looked at Jessica, who was still standing at the door, glaring at her. “So did it work? Do you understand why people like being scared now?” Jessica threw her towel at the other girl instead of responding and stomped off after it landed square on her face. Stumbling to her feet, Taeyeon dashed after her, calling for her to come back.
“So,” Jessica said the next day, hands wrapped around her mug. “Are you done trying to get me to like being scared?” Taeyeon shrugged and blew on her own coffee before standing to her feet and walking back into the kitchen.
“Maybe.” She paused, looking through the pantry. “Is oatmeal and fruit good for breakfast?”
“Yeah. What do you mean by maybe?” Again, Taeyeon shrugged, and began making the oatmeal. Rolling her eyes, Jessica looked down at the coffee in her mug.
She almost dropped it when Taeyeon put the bowl of oatmeal down in front of her.
“Taeyeon!” She jumped up from her chair and whimpered, clutching her mug tighter. The other girl doubled over laughing. “Get them out!”
“They’re fake, don’t worry about it,” Taeyeon said. Jessica looked like she might throw her mug at her girlfriend.
“I don’t care if they’re fake. I don’t like spiders real or fake, take them out.” Still laughing, Taeyeon picked the plastic spiders from the oatmeal. Once they were all out, Jessica slowly sat down at her seat again and ran her spoon through the food, making sure they were all gone.
“So what about now? Understand why I like being scared?” Jessica shot her girlfriend a look.
“No. And I never will, so stop putting scary stuff everywhere.” For a moment, Taeyeon felt bad.
“Sorry. I just want you to like Halloween as much as I do.” Jessica slowly stirred her food and gave her girlfriend a little smile.
“I don’t think I ever will. So please stop scaring me, or you’ll be sleeping on the couch,” she said. Taeyeon clutched her chest and gasped dramatically.
“Well, now that you’re taking out the big guns, okay. No more scary things.” Jessica laughed and stood to her feet, putting the mug down on the table.
“Okay. I’m trusting you.” She stuck out her tongue, making the other girl smile even as she padded past her towards the bathroom.
Wait. The bathroom.
“Jessica-.”
There was a scream, and the sound of something large and plastic being knocked to the floor.
i had a dream last night, and the minute i woke up this morning i spent no time doing anything but rushing to my computer to write it down. this can be interpreted as a fanfiction, a scenario, or a drabble - which is what it is supposed to be. please no negativity - i literally cried when i woke up, the concept was so beautiful in my mind and eyes. without further ado, here is the link. you can comment your view on it, just nothing bad lol.
