Falling Star's .ᐟ ֹ ₊ ꒱

The night was serene and starry, with a sky so vast it seemed to stretch into infinity. Atop the hills of Bizville, two children shared a night time picnic. The bluish blanket they sat on was sprinkled with breadcrumbs and small traces of fruits they had enjoyed, but the food had been forgotten in the face of the majesty of the firmament. The air was fresh, carrying the soft scent of wildflowers mixed with the distant murmur of a stream

Soleil, with his curly white hair reflecting the faint glow of the stars, pointed enthusiastically at one of the constellations, his eyes shining with excitement

“¡Look, Collen! ¡That’s Venus!” he said, with a smile that lit up his face more than the stars themselves. His curls moved softly to the rhythm of the wind as he looked at his companion with expectant eyes

The aforementioned Collen turned his gaze from the star to fix it on Soleil, his face showing a faint smile that never reached his eyes

“Could you tell me more about her?” he asked in a soft voice, almost distant if one paid close enough attention

Soleil’s eyes lit up with passion as he began to speak, his words flowing like a river full of life. He described the story of Venus, her symbolism, her connection with love and beauty. His hands moved in the air, tracing invisible shapes as he tried to explain more clearly. However, as he spoke, he couldn’t help but notice that Collen’s gaze was empty, lost in some point beyond the sky. But he decided to ignore it for now

As time passed, Soleil began to notice more the lack of interest in Collen’s gaze. His enthusiasm gradually faded until he finally lay back on the blanket. His messy curls spread over the fabric, and his black eyes got lost in the immensity of the sky

“Heheh... it seems I got carried away, ¿right?” he said with a small nervous laugh before sighing and simply admiring the sky in silence. Collen also lay down beside him, crossing his arms behind his head and letting his tail curl around Soleil’s ankle

“Collen” he called again, his voice even softer than usual, catching Collen’s attention and making him turn his head slightly to look at him with curiosity

Soleil extended a hand toward the sky, as if trying to reach the stars with his fingertips. “Do you think…” he began, his tone hesitant, doubtful, and filled with a nervousness reflected in the yellowish blush coloring his white cheeks

“…that we’ll be friends in every universe?”

The question hung in the air, accompanied by the faint hum of nocturnal insects. Collen sat up slowly, looking at Soleil with a small smile

But Soleil felt it differently. For a second, he swore he saw a grimace of disgust, and his red eyes gleamed with envy and anger contained for years. It made him uncomfortable, and before he could even point it out…

“No” Collen finally replied, his voice as calm as the wind blowing through the trees, as if he were talking about something casual.

And that broke Soleil’s heart. The answer hit him like a hard slap. His eyes widened, revealing the surprise and fear the little one felt

“¿What...?” he murmured, stunned. His voice trembled as he quickly sat up to face him

Collen held his gaze for a moment, but then his eyes shifted to something behind him. Soleil, confused and vulnerable, didn’t notice the hooded figure sliding among the shadows of the trees, their steps calculated and silent. Collen nodded slightly toward the figure, his expression hardening

The charade was over for him.

“Because I hate you, Soleil”

Soleil’s world wavered. The stars, which had witnessed so many stories, seemed to dim at the cruel declaration. He tried to process those words, but his mind refused to accept them. His heart pounded hard, and he felt a lump form in his throat as he tried to process what he had just heard

He refused to believe it, that his best friend would say such cruel words. Everything felt like a nightmare. Collen, his best friend, hated him? His eyes glistened as he felt Collen’s tail, which had been wrapped around his ankle, move away from him

It was as if a veil had been lifted from his eyes. This was real. Collen hated him, despised him and wasn’t afraid to admit it

And that made him cry. It didn’t make sense. Soleil loved him so much. He was his friend, his confidant, and something akin to a brother like Justin and Cory

Soleil loved Collen as much as the sun and stars themselves. He felt like he only existed because of the light that Collen radiated, and now that same light, once warm, burned him like fire itself... like a flame blazing with anger and envy he had never noticed

He opened his mouth to protest, searching for anything in Collen’s eyes to deny what he had just heard. But when he saw that Collen wasn’t even looking at him, he followed his line of sight. Yet before he could fully turn around, he felt a damp cloth pressed against his nose. Alarmed, he raised his hands, trying to remove it, but it was too late

The world began to fade around him. The trees and stars blurred into smudges, and Collen’s voice became a distant echo. He wanted to scream, ask why, try to fix the things, but his lips wouldn’t respond

The last thing he saw before succumbing to the darkness was Collen’s face looking at him with indifference, as if he had never meant anything more than a pawn to him

And then everything went black

he only hope what his brothers don't worry so much for him

right now me and collen are going to go exploring near spooksville!

We are looking for new plants to make more terrariums and maybe have a little picnic to see the stars heheh

It's the first time I'll have a picnic with a friend!<D

hihi sun !! hope you're doing alright :3 im at the beach rn and found these cool rocks while swimming, and I wanted to show you !! here u go :b

i have a lot more rocks back at home however currently im in vacation so I won't be home for about 3 weeks- could definitely show you more though when i get back home if you want ^^

He picks up one of the rocks curiously before letting out a small laugh in amusement, returning the rock he wrote on his blackboard.
