Vampires are attacking the town again and he doesn't know if it was because of what he did wrong or what he didn't exactly do to make things right. There are a lot of misconceptions around the town, especially in their race, because for as long as he could remember, they've lived for as long as humans did, too, and which is why they've made it to a point to settle on a balance society. That one and only rule that most of the vampires doesn't follow, never take blood from a human being. Of course he could understand their needs, because he, too, almost did it but his pride and manners didn't let himself become a part of that clique of rebels in which destroys the peace and unity that they once obtained.
As the King, he usually roam around the city, asking different vampires (his subordinates) to do the same thing to other cities around the country to protect innocent lives and spare those who are in the middle of something insolent. This time, he finds himself around the small corners of the streets of Incheon, and there he is greeted with a few rouge vampires on the lose.
"We need to get away." She speaks with outmost sincerity and Joonmyeon couldn't help but to look at the petite woman who almost passed by him yet stopped, only to take notice that he will strike from where he is and show those little kids some respect, especially to an innocent woman like her. He raises a hand up to place it on her head, assuring her that he will be fine because he have been doing it for quite some time now and doing it for more than he could remember is something that he had grown fond of.
"I'll be alright. You should run to a place to hide, cover your ears and close your eyes." is what he says before ushering her to go; it's a mystery, how she believed him but maybe it was out of fear. He sees her run, almost tripping in the middle of the road but she's safe, she will be safe, he will make sure she is as he confronts the three vampires whose eyes were too furious to let their emotions control their mind—pathetic, he thinks, because not once have he thought about killing his own kind, yet alone those vampires who could have a better use in their society, but they crossed the line.
In a blink of an eye, he holds a vampire up in the air, fingers clutched on his pale neck and brushes him off, the vampire's body hitting the concrete wall of a building, almost crashing the store as he turns to the two, throwing a kick on the stomach and a snap on his neck, making sure he won't be living to see the sun shine tomorrow morning and the last, but not the least, Joonmyeon makes sure that he won't have any escape route to walk or run into, so he quickly grabs his jacket, letting the latter face him with a smirk etched on his lips--he isn't always this uncanny, Joonmyeon has a set of manners that he was trained to deal with by the age of five and make sure to practice it out by the age of seven, so when it comes to killing, that's where he lets the beast inside him out in the open. "You shouldn't have crossed the boundaries, friend." his voice is soft yet taunting, as expected of the leader and once the words were sunk in, he viciously squeezes the latter's skin, fingers curled around his neck and with a snap, he knows he's gone.
"Are you alright, miss?" he easily found her near an alley, hiding beside the garbage dump as he brings a hand over to pat the top of her head again; she's now safe and sound from the vampires who were almost at the verge of sucking her blood out. "Don't worry, you're safe now."
