It had been quite some time since they get to be with each other again, they both had been busy and Suho isn't a person who would demand some time for him, even when he knows the latter wouldn't do it to himself, either. A silent agreement is what they have with each other that they won't go, nor leave, without the latter knowing about it--they have been through a lot and if Suho could be honest with himself, Daehyun is one of those few, very few people who knows him, inside and out. There isn't any word that he could say to express how he feels about his so-called brother, he's someone who he could rely on, even when the times are the worst and even when he doesn't deserve anything, Daehyun would give it to him, selflessly.
Suho catches himself watching the sunset, one of the few things that he and Daehyun shares together is the way they watch the moonlight shine above the sea, no wonder they agreed to meet at the beach, he bought their favorite snacks, cookies, some chips and of course, a case of beer because it isn't everyday that he get to spend it with him, anyway, might as spend it well.
"Remember that heartbreak where I found myself crying in your arms like a baby and you were telling me to stop because I look pathetic and you were getting tired of hearing me whine and complain about that person, Dae?" he catches a glimpse of Daehyun, being a vampire has its perks and one of those is his sensitivity, which is why he could easily find himself sensing those people who are too familiar for his own good. "Remember the time when you were at my place, though yours was understandable, you looked like a kid, but, can you still remember our promise?"
"I'll look after you." He shouldn't have expected anything less because as a matter of fact, even if Suho had been living in the current world around them, Daehyun has that keen sense of memorizing the moments that means a lot to him and the people around, especially those that matter and for him to remember their promise made Suho's lips curl into that same warm smile that he usually gives him.
"As I will, too." is his short reply, fingers clutched on the hem of the picnic cloth that he laid across the sand, fingers playing with the said fabric. "I just wanted you to remember, in case you forget because you know too well that you and I are brothers, though you're not as good looking as I am."
