Mad Science Meme, Batch One

The first batch of completed forms for the Mad Science meme, which is a riff on an existing Deviant Art Meme that I love (the DNA Meme): Each character contributes four traits which are then used to create a new fifth character as some kind of freaky lab experiment. There's some randomization involved (the lines from the DNA string at the top cross paths before reaching the bottom) so it's very fun for me to see what comes out the other side. u-u

The symbols would take too long to explain, but they match up with the traits listed along the bottom so just use the process of elimination if you're confused. I gave naming rights to the character in the upper left, and used the last name of the character on the bottom left. Kawaru named Lisa/Risa Koteas on a whim based on the trendy and American sound of the name. Alice named Robin Janvier after the kind of bird with the Secret Garden in mind. Victor named Jo or Jolene Seia as a Jojo's reference since Seia means star. Piper named J.J. or Jett Jun-ji Vlcek with the alliteration & the group's cultural backgrounds in mind picking Jett because of his jet black eyes, Jun (king) so he could have a crown motif, and Ji (pond) because he reminds him of still water. Cassiel named Harley Radiata so that she would have a name meaning "hare" but also because it's a motorcycle reference.

But yeah! I had a lot of fun matching my OCs by character symbols to make the different groupings and then giving them silly names; you can see which four symbols I paired to make each group at the top of the first image. I'm planning to run all sixty-four tiered OCs through this so there will eventually be sixteen of these little lab experiments running around. Who will I remix next?

Now that I've finished with my Shuffle Units costume design project I wanted to draw a little Encore illustration to celebrate using the shirts I designed to go with each unit. There will be a wide format illustration with five characters & possibly two additional smaller illustrations with 2-3 characters each; so 5 units will be featured depending on how composition goes.

I just really appreciate feedback & think audience participation is fun. When the results are in I'll pick an OC to represent each unit; you might see additional polls in this phase.

I'm still working on composition so I'm not sure how many will be used, but they'll all be silhouettes or seen from behind; I just thought it'd be a fun way to fill an otherwise generic audience.
