A gentle smile curved her lips. "Usually, it is the head that speaks unfortunate words. So it is your heart that has betrayed you? I suppose it would depend on how forgiving the one you spoke them to is. Once said, words can not be unspoken. Depending on the species, they can usually fade with time...unless the thoughtless words were spoken to a drell, they have a bad habit of not being able to forget." Her expression became one of concern and her fingers slipped down his cheek in sympathy. "Are you going to be okay?"

Has been 3 years already? Honestly Claire couldn't believe it. She even chuckled at the thought. Three years of a wonderful friendship with Taggart. They have been through think and thin, but they were an inseparable pair. Almost everyone thought they were a couple, but Claire just thought the two were goo friends. She figured Taggart felt the same way. 

"Here's to us." She smiled, raising her cup glass to her good friend. They were sitting at their usual bar, just having a few drinks. Nothing wrong with that right? As their bottles clunked together, Claire took a small sip of her beer. Then she leaned on the bar railing as she looked over at Taggart with a small smile. 

"I have... Something to tell you.." She said a bit hesitantly, but still a smile on her face. "Remember that Guy I told you about? The one that is an engineer at my work?" Claire tilted her head at him while waiting for his answer. She bit her lip, a bad habit of hers, as she looked up at him with hopeful eyes. Taggart never really cared for the guy, but honestly she really liked him, and hope he would be ok with what she was about to reveal to him.
