taijax boarding school (or just any kinda posh school really) au where they’re debate team co-captains (tai cos she’s good with developing speeches and jackie cos people just *listen* no matter what nonsense she’s saying) and they argue an inordinate amount

and one time they get a little too wrapped up in the argument and end up accidentally smushing their noses together (because being in each other’s personal space helps the spirit of debate! obviously!) and then they both have to reckon with the sheer *indignity* of the event

it makes me upset people don't have them kiss more often. they are the PERFECT passive aggressive captain co-captain dynamic—glaring in casual conversation, giving unwarrented advice, not to MENTION the femme layers: "Y'know, I don't really think green's your color, Tai." "Thanks for the input, Jackie." with the most tight-lipped smiles.

and the field. oh ho ho the field. too-hard shoulder checks. calling each other out BEFORE a coach or a ref can even get a word in. both of them begging to captain SEPERATE scrimmage teams. all while tai can see the clear homoerotic tension of going nose-to-nose in arguments and jackie is confused with how hot she feels after chugging her water.
