Sonographer told me the ultrasound confirmed endometriosis 😶

I feel a bit emotional. I've known for a few years I might have it, but now it's more confirmed. I can't wait for the doctors to push birth control on me again 🙄 I have to see my GP in a week for next steps but my friend, and the NHS website say you can only confirm endometriosis with a surgery?

It's taken them over 10 years (which is the average) to diagnose me. I also have a hospital appointment in May for the gastro team for possible IBD, and that is likely linked to my endometriosis as both cause inflammation

Osteopath said endometriosis could affect the tailbone and might be why I've got pain as it causes inflammation.

And this is probably why I struggle with fatigue. I always thought it was my thyroid.

My body is literally fighting itself, but I'm going to continue lifting weights and being healthy as much as I can

Trying to be kinder to myself

I didn't get out of bed untill 11am which is not like me. That's how I know things are not good at the moment. Trying to take the day slow but also get my Sunday stuff done.

Usually I start with meal prep but I just can't at the moment. So I've started with the easier tasks.

Taken my bedsheets off to wash and put my spare set on. Brushed out my hair and oiled it. This killed as I had two days worth of hair mousse in it. Then I hoovered my room and put my clean clothes away.

I'm going to have breakfast now at 1pm with the new season of Stranger Things. Well brunch now. After that ill make a start on meal prep. Only making one meal as i mentally don't have the energy today to make two.

I've taken time off the gym since Tuesday and my tailbone pain hurts more. I'm so confused because online says rest. It was hurting after I lifted but now it hurts worse and I've done nothing. Make it make sense ffs. I'm so fed. On Tuesday it will be three weeks. My cyst feels small so I don't think it's that but maybe I should do a salt soak with a flannel and see if it helps.
