Look who’s here again — Tailon! Let’s say he’s been remodeled a bit, and his story too.
Tailon is a TMNT OC, a mutant Harpy Eagle.
Originally, he was a bird living in a wildlife rehabilitation center after being rescued from illegal bird trafficking when he was still very young. Among the caretakers there was a simple Brazilian man — kind, cheerful, and patient. Tailon grew deeply attached to him, seeing him as family… almost like a father.
The man loved and cared for him, and Tailon adored him in return. In fact, he was one of the very few humans the bird trusted, since the last time he had encountered humans before the rescue had been during the trafficking — a time when he had been treated terribly.
One day, the reserve received a very promising funding opportunity: they only needed to participate in an educational presentation at a zoo event in New York. The caretaker agreed to go and brought Tailon along for the trip.
But things didn’t go as planned.
During a moment of chaos in the city, they were accidentally caught in the middle of a violent conflict between a local mafia group and a ninja organization known as the Foot Clan.
In that clash, Tailon’s caretaker was killed by a member of the clan.
And Tailon saw everything.
Desperate and confused, the great bird tried to drag his caretaker away, hoping he might still survive. But it was too late. In a dark and abandoned place, there remained only the lifeless body of the man he loved… and one of the largest birds of prey in the world mourning the loss of his father.
But in that darkness, something unexpected happened.
A lost mutagenic substance exposed the grieving bird, transforming him into something new. His body changed. His mind awakened.
And his fury grew like poison.
Burned into his memory was the symbol of those responsible — a blood-red Foot.
Tailon swore vengeance against every member of that clan. One day, their leader would pay for everything he had lost.
This is just the base concept for his story, and it may change depending on the TMNT universe he appears in.
