Fox in the Underground

In order to test his device’s newest feature, satellite television streaming, Lil’ Tails decided to set off traveling with the prototype tablet in hand. So far, he’d managed to pick up and clearly view both local and national stations just about everywhere he wandered.
Adjusting his Sonic-themed hooded shirt in the somewhat chilly air, Tails changed channels to a weather station on which a chipper middle-aged groundhog promised warmer weather for the upcoming weekend.
As he then switched off the Tails Computer to save its battery power, the kit finally took the time to fully observe where he was. On that note...where was he? The young fox realized only then that he’d wandered so absentmindedly in his travels that he walked himself right into unfamiliar territory.
It appeared to be an alleyway he’d wandered into, and a rather run-down one at that. It looked mostly abandoned, but the youngster was smart enough to know that made it more likely to be dangerous. Cautiously sliding the tablet into the pocket of his hoodie, Tails pulled his hood warily over his head and moved to exit the alley. His senses were on high alert.
