Should I have Dr. Taizen Ibano replace Kan or create a new character?

I'm asking this because I remember that Dr. Ibano knew EXCATLY what the KG was going to involve and even said someone 'had to do it'. But, he was also a victim of verbal and psychical assaults by Kan. So, vote please.
