When I started as a photographer, 20 years ago in a mall portrait studio in Cherry Hill, NJ, we used to sell a LOT of 8x10s. Every client, every time, would ask for an 8x10 of their favorite image to hang in their home.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Do you know how teeny tiny an 8x10 looks over a sofa, above your bed, or on your dining room wall?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It just looks silly!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 8x10s aren't wall portraits--they're desk sized portraits, portraits that go on a picture rail with ten or fifteen different framed or mounted images in similar sizes. Unfortunately, so many portrait studios have trained us that an 8x10 is a wall sized portrait, that many clients don't realize until they're at home exactly how strange that tiny frame looks against a big, blank wall.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ For my clients, however, this is a problem that will NEVER happen!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Every portrait session includes a complimentary pre-session consultation where we not only discuss outfits, locations, and portrait concepts, but also where you see your portraits in your home. After you book your session, you'll receive a wall cling ruler as part of your welcome packet. Simply stick on your walls anywhere you might consider hanging a portrait, snap a photo with your iPhone or other smart phone, and email or text them to me.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When you sit down for your ordering appointment, my state-of-the-art software will be able to show you EXACTLY what your portrait will look like in the frame/mat of your choice in your home--and at what size as well.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Interior design and fine art portrait photography in one stop? Yes please!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
