Take Five - #10. My workers relaxing series leads me to this photo I took today. Walking down the street to get lunch I noticed this gentlemen laying down in the back of his truck, taking a breather from his job. I had to wait awhile before I could get a shot without him noticing me. My family had an old Ford pickup when I was a kid which I used to drive to and from school. Take Five - #7. There’s a piano in the back room of 49 West, a wine bar and coffee house in Annapolis MD. Late at night, after finishing a show I was playing in town, I noticed one of the 49 West kitchen staff in the back at the piano tinkering away. Take Five - #4. For part four of my “everyday workers taking a break” photo series, I present these ladies. I was walking out of my eye doctors office after my appointment and these two ladies were taking a smoke break behind the building. Worried I would be a creep if I didn’t asking permission, I told them I was doing this series and even showed them some of my past photos. I’ve never smoked a single cigarette but I imagine these daily smoke breaks as a way to momentarily unplug from life’s responsibilities for the length of time it takes a small piece of tobacco to burn down to nothing.
