A few years ago I did a logo design for my long time photographer friend, @fallingpixie. I'm still quite fond of it.

A second, hopefully sexier pass at my first Overwatch hero concept ⚡🕵️
This is a revisit of an old method I had, which is as follows:
Step 1: Make a cool shape. Step 2: Make a weird monster from said shape. Step 3: Profit!
Lion + snake? Chimera. Lion + snake + claymore + bass guitar? Something for a friend.
Need a logo? Take it to the Brim.
Vault Hunter number two? Yep. And this time for a grenade loving friend with a penchent for going out with his own bang. Luckily, Travis turns his own pain into his team’s profit. Name: Travis the Grenadier Signature Skill: Boom-Whip - Travis keeps a belt of grenades around his waist which he can pull off and use as a whip, with an explosive crack for each grenade. Story: Travis is a representative of the explosive gun manufacturer Torgue, sent to Pandora to be their resident vault hunter. Why do they need one of those? In the words of the CEO himself, Mister Torgue High-Five Flexington, “BEACUSE VAULT HUNTERS ARE FUCKING AWESOME!” (Also his propensity for explosives makes for good advertisement. Buy Torgue!) Abilities: Tree 1: Blood Crown - Allies heal when Travis takes explosive damage - When Travis is down or respawning allies get a health and sheild buff - Flash Bang: explosives now stun nearby enemies - Overcooked: Travis can hold grenades until they explode - Dumb Bomb: Enemy grenades have a chance to be duds - King of Hearts: Any allies down when Travis dies are automatically revived with full grenades (capstone)
Tree 2: No Fucks - Company Man: Belt grenades are now MIRVs - Dirty Bomb: Grenades produce a toxic cloud upon detonation - Out with a Bang: While using the Boom-Whip, activate action skill again to strap the belt back on and start a 5 second timer (gain dramatic speed buff). Upon detonation all Travis’ grenades explode and the grenadier dies (skips fight for you life)(capstone)
Tree 3: Skins vs Hurts - Double grenade carrying capacity - Flack Sandals: Gain a speed buff when taking explosive damage - Smart Bomb: Grenades become homing grenades
Remember when Borderlands was a relevant game? Well I made some fan characters for it. One for me and two for a couple best friends. Should I have capitalized on it’s popularity six years ago? Maybe… Anyway, here’s my own vault hunter. All I got is the gun… its a special gun, tho. I never really liked switching weapons so often so this character is based around a personal, customizable weapon that can eventually be used all the time (given the right skills). Name: Liz the Gunsmith Signature Skill: Makeshift Gun - Liz constructs a gun out of stuff she finds. This ability revolves around collecting “junk stacks” to make/fix the gun (mostly from kills and loot). Story: Liz was a highly skilled gunsmith for S&S Munitions- before the Bandits started manufacturing their own weapons. She noticed their success and promptly jumped ship. After working with bandits she realized they were a bunch of assholes and jumped that ship too. Now she’s trying her hand at self employment, putting her crafting skills towards vault hunting. Maybe try steering her own vessel for once. Some abilities: - Liz can destroy loot to add to her junk stacks - Liz gains junk stacks for opening containers - Kill steal: If Liz kills an enemy and does 25% or less damage she gets double junk stacks - Lucky 22: Normal damage and aggro are decreased while critical hit damage and movement speed are increased - Replace melee with an under-barrel shotgun - Versatility: When not scoped, makeshift gun fires full auto (increases magazine size) Voice Lines: - “Were you gonna finish that?” (Kill Steal) - “If you don’t want it, I can use it.” (Trade) - “Oooh! New Parts.” (Opening chest)
What am I up you ask? Oh just illustrating a fully improvised children’s book for Third Kind Improv. Or more accurately for a new baby of one of their members. It’s about a squid who’s scared of school.
If you’re in Denver check em out. Having a girlfriend in the group I can attest, they pretty funny.
“Regret” A redesign of a resigned redesign. How appropriate…
