CONNECTION DESCRIPTION:
Here is the unfortunate truth: Saul is a subpar father. Saul and his first wife, Katie, had Micah straight out of law school. They were married for four years before they divorced due to Saul's demanding work life. She moved out to the suburbs and remarried later on. Micah was mostly raised by their mother and their stepfather, as Saul became a holidays-and-weekends dad. For awhile, Micah thought Saul hung the moon, but as he kept making promises just to break them and couldn't put his phone down for a few minutes without having to take a call, along with getting married two more times throughout their life, Micah realized that he was a very flawed individual. Though they no longer worshipped Saul as a hero, Micah followed their father's footsteps into the law profession—either they wanted to make him proud or they had another reason for becoming an attorney, like a genuine passion for justice. Their area of practice is up to you, or maybe they decided they no longer want to be a lawyer anymore; it's up to you! Their reason for coming to Providence Peak and their current feelings about Saul are all up to you as well. There is going to be a lot of angst and heartbreak with this plot, so I'd love to discuss a bunch of (painful) headcanons!
