Takenoko season

With the coming Spring, our take forest has had another great year. Many, many, takenoko have sprouted, and although a few have been taken by the enoshishi and saru, over 90% have remained unmolested.

Those that have sprouted too close to the minka, have been carefully harvested with a newly sharpened takenoko shovel, prepared, and refrigerated in a light pickle.

Three games with hexes. I still think the game of thrones Catan is a great version - probably more fun than the base game. Takenoko is cute although it feels a little repetitive. But I tried out some solo rules and it was a lot of fun. And Scythe is always fun although I did terrible this round.
