#492 Baby - Meek and cautious in their natural Land Forme, Shaymin nest in pristine fields of wildflowers, where their grass-like fur and pink flowers camouflage them into their surroundings. By curling up into a ball, they easily escape notice from Trainers and predators alike. Shaymin make their nests in thick bushes and shrubs, where they tend to their eggs with a paranoid fervor. Shaymin hoglets, referred to as Hedgling, are born with a rich, grass-like coat that immediately provides them the same camouflage as their parents. Their flower buds start growing in hours after hatching, but will not bloom until maturity. Eventually, the Hedgling will forage with their parents, slowly moving further and further away from the safety of their nest. By the time they go on their first flower migration, they are ready to explore the world on their own.

#492 "Takeoff Forme” - Shaymin are gentle-natured Pokémon that are capable of instantly purifying any polluted area of all impurities, transforming it into a lush field of flowers. They live in pristine fields of flowers, where they avoid detection by curling up and camouflaging against the surrounding flora. Each season, Shaymin gather with each other in a hidden field of Gracidea flowers for their annual Flower Carrying; a behavior named so because of the flowers that grow wherever these Pokémon land. Being exposed to the blooming Gracidea flowers confers the power of flight upon Shaymin, marking the start of their brief transformation into their Sky Forme. Their transitional "Takeoff Forme," does not last long; by the time their prancing feet leave the earth, they will have fully transformed into their Sky Forme, filled with energy and courage. Shaymin will transform back into their base Land Forme after their migration is completed.
