#302 Baby - Sableye are nocturnal Pokemon that live in the dark reaches of caves and underground caverns, where they lead quiet lives digging for raw gemstones. Territorial over their nesting grounds, Sableye will guard over their brood of eggs diligently until they hatch. The younglings are quickly taught how to search for and dig up gems; once the baby Sableye have procured their own first meal, the parents will move on, leaving the young to fend for themselves. Overtime, a constant diet of gems transforms the baby Sableye's eyes into gemstones. Similarly, materials from gems they eat float to the surface of their body, decorating mature Sableye with an infinite number of gemstone patterns.

#302 Mega - When paired with Sablenite‎ and a Trainer they truly trust, Sableye are capable of Mega Evolution. When they Mega Evolve, all the energy from their Mega Evolution is concentrated into the red jewel on their chest, causing it to rip out of Sableye's skin and significantly increase in size; the detached jewel leaves a small hole in Mega Sableye's chest. The enlarged jewel is said to boast such incredible hardness that no attack can even leave a scratch on it. During battle, Mega Sableye shelter behind the jewel, from where they can take advantage of any openings their target leaves exposed. However, being forced to support the massive jewel leaves Sableye unable to turn quickly, making them vulnerable from behind.

#303 Baby - Typically found in caves, Mawile make their nests in dark tunnels, where they lay small clutches of eggs at a time. The parents take turns guarding the eggs, and will raise their young as a cohesive unit the young are able to fend for themselves. Baby Mawile, nicknamed Mawiddle, are born with excellent night vision and a functioning second mouth, formed out of large, steel-like horns on the back of their head. Younglings are picky eaters, so their guardians will feed undesirable food to the big, steel mouth, which can't taste anything. Mawiddle learn from their parents how to use their non-threatening appearance to make foes underestimate them, before attacking with their gaping jaws.

#303 Mega - Mawile largely live in caves, where they utilize the darkness of their surroundings to ambush prey. They will often stray from their dens for more active hunting, where they lure foes into a false sense of security with their docile-looking face before attacking suddenly with massive jaws. If a Mawile Mega Evolves with the aid of Mawilite, the energy from Mega Evolving will cause an additional maw—actually transformed steel horns and not a genuine mouth—to sprout, dramatically increasing this Pokemon's defensive abilities. Mawile can control the jaws independently and at will, but the rush of Mega Evolution can cloud their judgment and Trainers should be on high alert around this evolution and their violent, thrashing jaws.

#145 Baby - Zapdos are Legendary Pokémon that prefer to nest in high peaks, where they are hidden from view by cloud cover. Their eggs are thick-shelled and durable, prepared to be exposed to the frequent, powerful storms that adult Zapdos generate when flying. Likewise, Zapdos chicks are feisty and tough, and leave the nest at a younger age than their Legendary cousins. Zapdos parents teach their young chicks how to fly and sense electrical currents amongst a storm. With time, the slowly maturing chicks will be taught how to generate and release electricity; however, precise control of their electrical powers comes with age and experience. Zapdos chicks have a temper as mercurial as a storm, and will not hesitate to shock anyone or anything that makes them mad!

#492 Baby - Meek and cautious in their natural Land Forme, Shaymin nest in pristine fields of wildflowers, where their grass-like fur and pink flowers camouflage them into their surroundings. By curling up into a ball, they easily escape notice from Trainers and predators alike. Shaymin make their nests in thick bushes and shrubs, where they tend to their eggs with a paranoid fervor. Shaymin hoglets, referred to as Hedgling, are born with a rich, grass-like coat that immediately provides them the same camouflage as their parents. Their flower buds start growing in hours after hatching, but will not bloom until maturity. Eventually, the Hedgling will forage with their parents, slowly moving further and further away from the safety of their nest. By the time they go on their first flower migration, they are ready to explore the world on their own.

#492 "Takeoff Forme” - Shaymin are gentle-natured Pokémon that are capable of instantly purifying any polluted area of all impurities, transforming it into a lush field of flowers. They live in pristine fields of flowers, where they avoid detection by curling up and camouflaging against the surrounding flora. Each season, Shaymin gather with each other in a hidden field of Gracidea flowers for their annual Flower Carrying; a behavior named so because of the flowers that grow wherever these Pokémon land. Being exposed to the blooming Gracidea flowers confers the power of flight upon Shaymin, marking the start of their brief transformation into their Sky Forme. Their transitional "Takeoff Forme," does not last long; by the time their prancing feet leave the earth, they will have fully transformed into their Sky Forme, filled with energy and courage. Shaymin will transform back into their base Land Forme after their migration is completed.

Oh! Didn’t realize you were doing legendaries. Did you do one for the lake trio? I always assumed they came from the same egg and the gem on the egg split into nine shards.

I am only doing baby Pokemon as commissions, and the legendary birds (and Shaymin, if you missed it) were commissioned. I have not done one from the lake trio, but I think your idea of them hatching from the same egg and the gem splitting between them is a cool one!

And good question! Classically, “baby Pokemon” in the Pokemon series are pre-evolutions of Pokemon. They’re their own official, numbered Pokemon stage with their own design that evolve into their next stage.

Specifically, from Bulbapedia, “baby Pokemon” are:

basic Pokémon that are small, cannot breed and are pre-evolutions that were introduced in a generation later than the evolutions before them. However, Togepi, Riolu, and Toxel are the only exceptions, as they and their evolutions are Pokémon belonging to the same generation.

The baby Pokemon that I’ve been doing are not pre-evolutions, they are literally baby/young/infant versions of a Pokemon (I throw in a free egg design for fun). They are not in-progress stages. I’m also willing to do pre-evolutions, which would be their own stage, have a different design, and wouldn’t have “baby” as a part of their numbers.

#203 Baby - When Girafarig calves hatch, their mothers dote on them, licking them to stimulate circulation and dry their skin. These newborn calves must be ready to run with the herd, and remarkably, are able to stand, walk, and even run, within an hour of hatching. Girafarig are born with a second, rear head, which contains a small brain of its own; however, the diminutive head develops at a slower rate, and can only look around mutely while the Pokemon is young. Eventually, the second head will be able to act as security, protecting the Girafarig’s back from surprise attackers. The calves won't develop their Psychic-typing until they grow into a mature Girafarig.

#203.5 - Girafarig are herbivores and can be found in areas with plentiful trees and grass. They work in tandem with the small head on their tail, which has a brain and will of its own, allowing this Girafarig to be protected while sleeping, and even to instinctively fight while facing backward! As Girafarig age and learn more Physic-type moves, the brain in their tail becomes stronger and more intelligent. Overtime, the tail-head will begin migrating up the main body, eventually merging at the main body’s head where the two brains will connect through thick nerves, increasing this Pokemon’s psychic energy tenfold. Though it may look strange, the migration process seen in Rafigifar is not distressing to the Pokemon; however, they lack the innate rear protection during this time, making them more vulnerable until they have adjusted. When it has fully completed the merging process, Farigiraf’s dual brains are capable of instantly detecting danger.

(Okapako [ow·kuh·pah·koh] is a palindrome based on “Okapi”, smaller relative of the giraffe; Rafigifar [Raa·fih·gih·faar] is a palindrome based on “giraffe,” which makes this line’s naming go as GI-rafarig, RA-figifar, FA-rigiraf.)
