Ok so---the manga names Takeuchi, the guy who shows up as part of Murata's team that covers for Yushiro as he treats Zenitsu's injuries, and who later goes off with Yushiro as Yushiro is fighting Nakime.

Despite initially finding him as off-putting as everybody else did, Takeuchi quickly accepts that Yushiro is an allied demon and even offers to let Yushiro eat him if that will give him more strength. Takeuchi lives and later assists in helping bring Tanjiro back from the brink of death. As a fanfic author, I love to imagine that Takeuchi and Yushiro went on to have a long friendship (and these are my headcanons).
