There were always questions surrounding vampires; were the social creatures? Or did they prefer to remain recluse? One would think finding a meal in this day and age would mean having to develop some form of extroverted nature but in this world there seemed to be two very different types of vampire; those that hunted in plain sight and those that remained in the shadows. Hyolyn could be either of the two depending on the mood she was in. She had always been the flexible type, learning to adapt to the world around her in a way that would be of benefit to her. Which would explain a lot of her past actions and how she came to be.
Insolitus was a rather simple place to get a meal and while it was forbidden to feed from her fellow students it was never a rule Hyolyn followed, especially when some were all too willing to feel the rush of fangs sinking into skin.
But tonight, she wasn’t hungry, wasn’t exactly looking to waste time charming her way into a meal. She had far too many thoughts running through her head all at once and it had gotten to the point where she sought some sort of solitude which wasn’t the simplest of things at an academy. There was one place where few students went after dark that was in an open space; the dorms rooftop.
Having perched herself on the edge of of the roof, feet dangling down over a rather substantial drop to the ground beneath she did nothing more that sit, allowing the cold spring air to wash over bare arms. She wasn’t dressed for the outdoors and she certainly wasn’t dressed in the clothes she wore on a daily basis. She had on a pair of grey sweatpants that even to those that weren’t paying attention were far too big for here petite frame and obviously did not belong to her along with a plain black tank top. She wasn’t in the mood to impress at the moment.
Lids slipped shut as palms moved behind her back to allow her body to recline, a deep intake of breath through her nose followed by a slow exhale through her mouth being the only actions she took. She didn’t need to breathe, vampires didn’t require the oxygen, but it helped calm the rush inside her head. If only just a little.
