This statement is powerfully correct. I love the bridge in this photo. Crossing to the other side of suffering takes courage. The walk is hard. The tragedies of our lives are hard to face with an honest (and sober) view. But it is the Only way out for good. Why do we do that?

Why do we let people who annoy us have so much control over our lives? We let them affect our mood, our emotions, everything. We let our annoyance at them leak out and hurt everyone who means something to us. Why? They annoy us! So why do we make them the person with the most control over us? That's ridiculous! 

Let's stop. Let's make ourselves and the people we truly care about the people who can affect us so much. I'm not saying kick those annoying people out of our lives, because let's be honest, that isn't always an option. But stop giving them power. Let's kill them with kindness. Make them look the fool if they keep doing things to annoy us, because we won't take the bait anymore. We're better than that. 

Not entirely sure what my steps are going to be to achieve this. But I'm going to do my best. Good luck.
