Steve hits all 5 stages of grief and none of them are easy. He refuses to believe it's true until he sees the body, screaming at anyone who dares to say otherwise around him until he knows the truth. When he does, rage nearly consumes him. If someone is responsible, he'll find out, and they will go to prison, thankful to still be breathing. Then he goes into bargaining, thinking if he keeps revisiting their old favorite Chinese place and listening to her iPod, it'll be like she's still here. When that doesn't work, and he realizes what he's done in anger, depression will sink like a disease. It'll become all he knows for a long time. But when it ends, he'll finally settle into acceptance. He'll be able to sleep at night again, return to eating normal meals, but he'll never get Chinese takeout anywhere else again. 

I wanted to be able to put both asks into one, but way to give me the feels!

Who:

•falls asleep on the couch: Steve does for naps, and Bucky only can with Steve.

•makes friends with the neighbors: Steve, though it takes him a while.

•is the adventurous eater: Both of them. The Depression spawned many strange food combinations.

•hogs the covers at night: Neither of them. They both are used to sleeping in the cold.

•forgets to do the dishes: Out of these two, it would be Bucky for once.

•tries to surprise their partner more often: Depending on the surprise, they're fairly equal. Bucky likes to surprise Steve with his general knowledge and language skills, as well as all the different new things he enjoys.

•leaves dirty laundry on the floor: Neither of them.

•stays up til 2 AM reading: Both of them honestly.

•sings in the shower: Both of them, Steve just lies and says he doesn't.

•takes the selfies: Bucky! He wants pictures of them together incase he ever forgets again.

•plans date night: They plan together.

The moment when Maria agreed with Captain America that SHIELD must go down too, and Fury looked at her like “ARE YOU INSANE, MOTHERFUCKER?!?!” ... her look in that moment was something of pleading. She was begging him to understand, to acknowledge that as it was SHIELD could not hope to survive this.

Pleading that he would understand there was a plan, there was a way, and they would discuss it later, at length.

But if Fury had refused to agree.... she’d have helped tear it down anyway, this organization that had become her home and her way of life. She’d given everything to SHIELD, and she would tear it down to the bare rock under the foundations to make it clean again. 

I think in that moment we saw more of Maria Hill’s character than at any other point in the movies.

Saving Jamie

   Hel walked onto the plain in full army gear. It was mens clothing, but she didn’t care. A dress would only get in the way, and that was something she couldn’t afford. It was bad enough that she had to do this with Steve. He would get all credit, but that as fine with her as no one in this time would give a woman credit even if they did have powers like hers.

    In truth she was more worried about this leaving a lasting impression on Steve. She didn’t need him remembering her in the future as she would have no idea how he was. Time was a complicated thing as she hoped that all her years of watching Doctor Who would pay off. As long as the important parts stayed the same than the future would e safe.

   Peggy was on the plane and quickly came over to her. Hel had always had trouble tying up her long ebony locks. Braids were about the best she could do and the one down her back was to the center of her back. The other woman went to work making the braid into a bun that would be hard to hold on to. “ There you go.” she muttered before ring Hel over to Roggers. “ Steve, this is Hel, she’ll be going with you.”
