“Paz?”
This sure came as a surprise. Wendy blinked, then rubbed her eyes to make sure what she was seeing was real. After a few minutes of staring at the drenched, quivering wreck, she knew it was. But why had some come here, of all places? Why not Gideon’s?
She could ask those questions soon enough. There was no sense letting the other girl stand out in the rain and look more pathetic by the second.
“Uh...come in, I’ll get you a towel.”
Wendy wasn’t sure whether it was lucky or not that her father and brothers were upstate at her cousin’s, which she’d had to do a lot of immature sulking and brooding to get out of. It wasn’t that she disliked her, Paz had spared her a lot of heartbreak. It was just, she was still getting used to this whole acquaintance almost friends thing.
She threw the towel at the blonde, and arched a brow.
“What the hell, man?”
Seriously, she wanted to know what was going on here!
