Thanks everyone! It’s been a week and I’m happy to say I’ll be accepting every request I received. (If you submitted last week and haven’t gotten a confirmation email from me by the end of today, please reach out!)
The form is still open,
and I’m leaving 3 spots open for anyone interested in a line art piece of their character/subject. (sfw and nsfw are both OK) Acceptable range based on complexity of single character: $15-45 USD
I’m genuinely excited to get to work. I think it’s a great batch of characters!

Oh whats uuuuuup? Thanks!! Appreciate it! I spent an obnoxious amount of time on it! Feelsgud.
Sorry if this is extremely random, but. I am a fellow WoW-Player, and interested in getting into the RP scene. Was curious as to if you had any good servers to look into, and tips/tricks :)?
OH NO! I’m soooo very late answering this. I started a response then… just… Forgot. My sincere apologies, friend! In game RP? That’s my jam. I know many of my friends here on Tumblr do email thread or forum based RP. But for me? I like having my avatar in front of me, immersing in the game. So far… here’s what we’ve found:
Horde Side RP? Wyrmrest Accord. Chill in the Valley of Honour for walk up madness. Be persistant, watch out for in game events. They even have a facebook group you can be in to stay in the loop and make friends that way. Darkmoon Faire is always a great hub as well when it’s going on.
Alliance Side RP? Moon Guard. I KNOW. I know. Trust me. Having been around since beta, I understand the reputation MG has. BUT I’d like to admit that outside of Goldshire… everywhere else has some quality RP. Stormwind, Dalaran, Darnassus, even Duskwood had a lively RP scene when I rolled through. Met some good folk. If you’re looking for rando walk ups? Mage Quarter, Stormwind. Pig and Whistle in Old town Stormwind for calmer more direct interactions. (That’s usually where I’m at.)
Get an RP add on like Total RP 3 or MRP. Having an RP add on just really enriches the experience. People include links to art, character descriptions, and it also helps with chat flow.
Find like minded people on tumblr, facebook, forums and reach out. Come up with a reason to meet someone in game or in a private RP. So many of us have the same social anxiety, but we all want more quality story, right? That’s the goal.
Make a character that’s easy to interact with. It’s HARD to want to walk up to the brooding guy in the corner with a nose deep in his book, sighing at the world. It’s also hard to ICly notice someone who’s only making silent action. IE: They look across the room at you and that’s it. At LEAST walk past me and bump into me. A reason to exchange the first word is all you need.
But most importantly... don’t be afraid! Just jump in. come up with a simple reason. Don’t over complicate. Wind picked up a paper you were looking at and blew it past a group you’d like to talk to. You thought someone looked familiar. You need directions. etc etc etc. JUST GET IN THERE!
I hope that helps! Always feel free to find me in Stormwind (Caldenfal) or Orgrimmar (Brixtul) and come say ‘hey’.
I didn’t think it was going to happen...
But I actually got tickets to see the Warcraft Movie.
In a theater. I OUTSIDE OF MY HOUSE ON OPENING DAY
Anyone else going to dress up or take Red Solo Cups of green juice to toast Gul’dan with?
Me and new OCs
Challenge time! If you had to describe Brix'tul to a young child, what would you say?
This is such a great (and truly challenging) question. I’ve been thinking on it for HOURS now. At some point, I feel like this would just transition into a “Why do you Roleplay” conversation. Or more specifically “Why do you RP a Male-Monster-slacker-with-an-addiction-problem?” It’s really making me kind of self examine.
To most friends and family, when they ask about my characters I just explain that Brix'tul is a character in a series of stories my friends and I write. It’s close enough to the truth with out having to come out and say “I play pretend in World of Warcraft.” For the act of simplifying to a child, I’d describe it similarly, but focus more on the act of using your imagination to become something that you’re not temporarily. Escapism is a huge part of RP to me. I think kids can relate to that. They pretend they’re NOT little kids, and psychologically it helps them sort out the real world in doing so.
When I rolled Brix… I made him because I wanted to take part in a character that I wished I could interact with on my other characters. Coming from a DnD background where I am typically the DM, I like to focus on making secondary characters- instead of ‘main characters’. To elaborate… Everyone likes to play 'the Hero’ but people forget about the importance of the supporting characters. And in DnD it’s important to play well in a group, and to add to that dynamic, VS trying to be THE ONE the story is centered around. You have to pass back and forth in RP, and group fluidity always works better when you trade hands on who’s the 'main’ story for the moment. But to do that, you have to make sacrifices. For me, it’s boring to be THE BEST at something. To be THE ONE everyone follows. It’s much more of a challenge to make a less-likable character with obstacles of his own making. I find him super relatable in his imperfectness. And maybe in that way, through the escapism, he’s helping me psychologically suss out my own lazy demons.
Thanks for such a great question, Jade! I hope I didn’t go too off topic. <3
