I think a lot about Hiruko in SF and her response to Takumi’s trauma about Slasher route. Like. What happened to Takumi is objectively horrific and Hiruko basically tells him ‘get over it’. And like. It’s terrible she does that but it’s so understandable. Hiruko remembers so many more times than Takumi does, and she remembers so much more shit that both of them have done in all those timelines. Stuff that actually was of their own free will unlike the G’ie Queen. So yeah, having your body be puppetted as a means to kill literally the only friends you’ve ever known is a terrible thing, one it’s natural to feel guilt for even if you had no say in it, and a horrible thing to discover happened but for Hiruko it was just another timeline. There are far worse things to feel guilt over, that she does feel guilt over, honestly, she probably had more responsibility for Takumis killing spree than he did since she knew what was happening and chose to keep it a secret to protect him, and even kept the timeline in place without curing him so she could preserve their closeness from that timeline, and she feels every bit of it. But it makes seeing Takumi curled up in the fetal position over the realization that another version of him is responsible for all his friends deaths unreasonable to her. ‘Okay yeah it sucks but that’s just what The Time Loop is like. Get over it.’

I need to study them.
