I was just wondering about your tegu's lip? Was wondering if she had had a case of mbd, or if she's got a genetic defect that causes the underbite?
Neither- she actually has a scar there from an accident over the summer. She had a freakout while we were on a walk and bashed her lip on something, causing the labial scales to separate and give her this gnarly-looking lip flap that dried up and fell off. The scale is regrowing, but for now, that side of her mouth makes her look like a prizefighter.
