I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately. 🌝✨🌚 Isn’t it comforting to know that there can’t be one without the other? I struggled with anxiety for years, not knowing what it was. Simply being able to put a name to it was so freeing. That dark thing wasn’t Talana! It had its own name, its own agenda. Something about recognizing it made me very much aware of the light within me, and all around me. Lately I’ve had to pull some old skills out of my back pocket. There’s a lot to process and a lot of unknown right now. Focusing on the good doesn’t mean you are blind to the problems or don’t care. It means you care enough to fill up on what strengthens, so you keep growing, so you can help others on your path. ❤️

“What is a bookshelf if not a treasure chest for a curious mind?” It’s #worldbookday and I think I missed #husbandappreciationday earlier this week (or was it last week?) ... anyway... we still have work to do in here, but sometimes you have to appreciate the progress and that you have other things to do. 🏡 I love how houses reflect those who call it home. (The “before” is the previous owner. My decor style consists of making more room for books.) In all the places we’ve called home over the last 16 years, Jared provides bookshelves. In nearly every room. These ones he built. ❤️ He also installed recessed lighting, new carpet, old brick, and crown molding. I’m just glad I made all his babies. P.S. The irony of a tv in the middle of all the books is not lost on me. But... I think the most honest humans are a bundle of contradictions. Welcome to one of ours. Also? I’m practical.
