On Thursday there was no jewellery involved in my outfit, but I donned my aluminium glasses and some shiny silver boots and a Burberry shirt and went to the pub to watch the Science Showoff Talent Factory say thank you to their mentor Dr Steve Cross, by throwing him a surprise party!
