The Universal Mind A landscape carved from ice rests ‘neath the moon, While Father Time looks down upon it all, And wonders at the men who roam this plain, Who from his vantage seem so very small. He’s seen so many searchers come and go, Since time began he’s guarded well these hills, Proud guardian who sleeps on beds of snow, Protecting travellers from winter’s chills. Within the shadowed mystique of this land, Where few dare venture to this edge of time, Where consciousness is bidden to expand, ‘tis here the spirits essence learns to climb. For in the pristine stillness of the night, Beneath the silvery moon’s bright glist’ning sheen, A sense of peace beckons the soul to flight, And wonder on life’s mysteries unseen. For there is more to life than meets the eye, Vast galaxies exist beyond our ken, And underneath this cool cerulean sky, Enlightenment is given unto men. A pilgrimage to find the Promised Land, A journey which the pure of heart may find, And guided by the strength of God’s sure hand, We touch inside the Universal Mind.
