       confusion  settles  in  delicate  features,  light  hues  studying  his  face  for  a  second.  it  is  silvia’s  turn  to  be  confused,  it  seems,  for  she  has  no  idea  what  elia  could  possibly  be  talking  about.  it  bothers  her  that,  yet  again,  it  seems  as  though  she  is  the  last  one  to  know  something.  it  is  not  a  nice  feeling,  to  always  be  on  the  outside.  but  the  blonde  is  quick  to  swallow  it  down,  lips  curling  up  in  a  small  smile.

        lips  parted  in  surprise,  blue  hues  growing  wide  at  his  admission.  truth  be  said,  rory  had  always  presumed  that  had  been  the  case.  in  fact,  in  some  of  her  most  secret  dreams,  she  would  see  jess  coming  back  and  saying  he  did  not  want  her  to  leave.  saying  he  loved  her  and  wanted  her.  but  those  had  been  the  dreams  of  a  child  and  they  were  older  now.  yet,  the  words  made  her  heart  race  all  the  same.  the  brunette  took  a  step  closer  to  him,  swallowing  dryly  as  she  did.  

         ❝  you  had  no  choice?  ❞  rory  echoed  @talestold​‘s  words,  lips  pressed  together  in  a  thin  line  as  she  attempted  to  process  what  was  all  happening.  ❝  the  choice  to  stay  or  leave  was  mine,  not  yours.  and  you  should  have  let  me  make  it  instead  of  breaking  my  heart  just  because  you  wished  to  decide  for  me.  ❞  she  paused,  taking  a  deep  breath.  ❝  did  you  ever  think  i  needed  you?  did  you  ever  think  that  had  been  why  i  went  to  you?  and  you  hurt  me...  again.  ❞

        a playful smile graced her lips as she spoke with the young man. it was not the first time a foreigner had not r e c o g n i z e d her - not that sansa minded. she was not unaware of the air people put on when they realized they were talking to the QUEEN of the north. it was a breath of fresh air to converse without the worry that the other was merely saying the words they thought she wanted to hear. hence her reluctance to sacrifice her anonymity so soon.          ❝  it’s quite a long tale. ❞          a faraway look entered blue eyes as her smile dampened momentarily.          ❝  and not very pleasant... i’m unsure if it’s the most appropriate topic for such a JOYOUS night. ❞
