So I rewritten the story a bit. Now Asriel and Chara swap too. Basically Asgore takes Asriel's remains/dust with him to the ruins and puts them on the golden flowers from the intro. And Chara gets resurrected after Undyne injects determination into their body (pretty dark Ik) after Toriel instructs her to study humans.
So the idea is that Asgore and Toriel have a fight over declaring the war against humans. And instead of Toriel leaving it's Asgore (although his hatred for humans still persists he still takes Chara's body with him cause he still loved them deep inside).
Toriel declares peace with humanity. Throughout the years The Royal Guard gets rebranded as The Royal Police Force. Alphys is the Police commissioner. With her help, Undyne gets the position of the Royal Scientist. Sans is the chief of police in Snowdin. Papyrus is an (unofficial) police officer.
