Talia al Ghul and Kimiyo Hoshi are so funny because a lot of Talia's struggles are rooted in a filial loyalty that clashes with her own moral code.
Meanwhile, Kimiyo Hoshi's first appearance was her telling her dad to shut the fuck up and let her do her job and as a direct consequence of that she became one of the most powerful beings in the DC universe.
How am I even supposed to explain Talihoshi...you see, they are the wives of all time. Their equal and opposite relationships with their fathers, the way they are afraid of being seen as gods- timeless and untouchable- and the way they love the planet but are forced to fight in battles they don't believe in...and also they've never met once in canon
The amount of wasted potential by not making Talia al Ghul and Kimiyo Hoshi friends I swear...what do you mean a scientist whose main aim is sustainability isn't partnered with a conservationist famous for destroying corporations that damage the environment??
Kimiyo Hoshi and Talia al Ghul both being confirmed queer and not even so much as meeting each other once...what even is the point of it all???
It's a tragedy that Kimiyo Hoshi and Talia al Ghul haven't met yet/aren't friends in canon.
There's a very interesting conversation that can be had regarding Talia and Kimiyo's different perspectives on sustainability, and their vastly different methods. If they wouldn't team up, they would at the very least value each others' inputs.
Also Dr. Hoshi needing funding is such a perfect set-up for her to meet Talia? Literally how are they not canon??
