Zambales Weekday Weekend

Some friends have been telling me about the wonders of Talisayen Cove for over a year. Consequently, I've been making plans to go there but they always seem to fall through. A few weeks back, my Shutterpanda teammates decided that we needed to go on a well-deserved summer break (that is, if 2 and a half days could be considered a break). We had to push the dates around a couple of times and finish some work in the car on the way there (thank you, mobile internet), but it was worth it!!

We left Manila a little - a lot - later than expected, but we arrived in our hotel in Pundaquit in time for the beautiful sunset. Perfect timing. 

The next day, we were to be picked up at 6AM by the boat to island hop between Capones and Anawangin before heading to Talisayen. But of course, we woke up late HAHAHA. 

And I realized how much I missed the big blue.

First stop: Capones Island. The trek up to the lighthouse was something else. 

Next up: Anawangin. That view was surreal.

But our first view of Talisayen was what really took our breath away. 

We got some much needed sleep and a couple of us trekked up the mountain trail to see the view of the cove. It was amazing. 

Plus no one else was there, so we could shoot to our hearts' desires!

It was definitely a weekday weekend to remember! We're already planning another trip there with more friends. So grateful to have had this break with great company. :)
