what do they believe will happen to them after they die? does this scare them? gideons mom was the wife of an evangelical missionary until she took little gideon and fled to join up with raiders; the memories gideon has instill a vague idea of god and heaven/hell but she puts no personal stock in them. she doesn't expect to die
