( @talktoraindemon ) A long serpentine shadow glides above town. It lands on the highest building it can find. The sun is above it, making it impossible to truly stare at. Its long tail curls around the building, adorned by many eyes that could be jewelry if only they didn't move... It grins and suddenly flies back up before diving into the nearby forest. Its shape seems to shrink before disappearing behind the trees.
“… You saw that, too, didnt you?” Avin askes his crew mate, convieniently interrupting a game of cards he was about to lose.
“Yeah. What the hell was that?” Without waiting for an answer, Narius shakes his head and stands up. “Whatever it was, it wasn’t good. I’ll tell the Captain.” With a single movement he makes it down from the crow’s nest. He stops, looks back up and shouts: “And don’t think you’ll get away that easy. I know I would have won!”
As Avin’s laughter fills the air, he enters the ship. His Captain starts beaming as she hears of the wierd sighting and commands everyone who doesn’t have anything urgent to do to join her on this adventure mission.
Much to the displease of the first mate, who reminds them that nothing good could come out of looking for giant flying serpents with too many eyes, they head out right into the forest. Too long had they been lying here in this quiet harbour, waiting for new orders, as to listen to trivial things like common sense.
