Tall Fashionista #30 White & Pink Pizzazz Review Part 1

Because Mattel isn’t naming the new Fashionistas I’ve decided to call this one Brooke. I love her more than I expected to. She’s not as *fancy* as the other two but sometimes simplicity works! She has a harder time standing up on her own than the other two girls, and also has one arm bent.

She comes with a houndstooth top, netted overlay skirt, yellow necklace, and matching yellow sandals.

Her top is patterned in a dark pink and white. It has a loose fit but has clean lines which visually align with her skirt. It’s a pencil skirt made up of two layers of stretchy fabric. A solid white layer with an also white net layer on top which runs longer giving a peek-a-boo affect. This second layer is not hemmed so has started to fray slightly since my doll has been out of the box. Her necklace is funky, it’s bright yellow with molded beading. It matches her shoes which are platform sandals that have two straps going over her foot and one around the heel which has a molded buckle. While her shoes and necklace aren’t to my tastes I think they add more of a casual vibe to her outfit which otherwise comes off business-y. Her shoes are the bigger size with the Barbie head logo on the bottom. She has flat feet and putting her in the other size you can see her heel sticks out just a bit. Overall I think her outfit works well for her and really accentuates her height.

Her hair is a mixture of black and brown and is cut short just below her shoulders. It’s clean and simple. It’s neat seeing a Barbie with a shorter haircut. It came with a little bit of glue in it which was easily brushed out.

Now her face! It’s very sweet, she’s got softly curved light brown brows and her eyes are two-tones of brown with a darker brown on the outside and lighter near the pupil. She doesn’t have any eyeshadow, but has a dark brown crease line and light brown for her lower lash line. Her lips are a light mauve pink. I feel like they might be printed slightly off, like there’s pink where her teeth should be, but you can’t tell unless you’re really looking at them.

Overall she’s got a nice clean, put together look!

In the next part of the review I’ll do a comparison of her (she’s so tall!) to the 2016 Original body mold
