So my friends sister was visiting from his home town in Ireland, and we were hanging out one night and she found out I was born in NJ and lost her shit bc Jersey Shore was crazy popular in her school.

So as I was defending my honor by loudly proclaiming that ‘not EVERYONE from jersey is..etc etc’, she interrupts me and says

“Honestly, nothing on jersey shore can ever compare to Tallafornia”

And, naturally, I ask, ‘The fucks Tallafornia?”

And that was when I was told that Tallafornia is an Irish version of Jersey Shore that was so terrible it just doesn’t exist anywhere anymore. There were two seasons and they can’t be found anywhere on even the sketchiest of streaming sites. The show was so heinous that when I brought it up to my Irish born and raised pals, they all respond with near identical cringes followed by a soft, broken “we don’t talk about Tallafornia”

That being said, I decided to look at these mini commentary episodes called Tallafornia Swipe, and I can officially say that I im proud our state produced Jersey Shore, because at least we don’t have to be from the place that made fucking Tallafornia. Holy shit. I finally understand why my friend considers this show a national tragedy
