IT'S WAYBACK WEDNESDAY:

Having a penis or vagina doesn't make you a man or a woman – it's how you feel that matters. Jordan Gray is adamant about this and she should know – she lives with it every day. Jordan was male at birth but has lived as a woman for the past 16 months. A renowned Essex recording artist, known as Tall Dark Friend, on stage Jordan is flamboyant, confident and she belts out her pop rock tunes. This year Jordan will be one of the big names performing at the Fling Festival and Essex Pride. But it hasn't always been so easy. As a child, growing up in Tilbury, Jordan didn't really understand what was happening to her or her emotions. She said: "There tends to be two types of trans people – 'trans kids', who always knew from a young age, and the later life transitioners..."

Article from 13 June 2015 on local pop star Jordan Gossamer Gray, who came out as trans during the Essex Entertainment Awards in 2014. (And apprently she still uses her birthname per her inactive website.) She appeared on BBC's The Voice during Round 6 of the blind auditions (more on that later).

also wondering about a new name, I’ve playing around with Connie, I like it, but it’s big decision for me and not one I should make while writing about objective metrics of audio comfort......also need to canvass opinions on it I think and get the whole bravery thing going again.

So anyway back to work!
