Ashley Paramore details sexual assault she suffered at TAM2012

In a video on her Youtube channel, Ashley Paramore discusses a sexual assault she experienced by an unnamed person at the TAM2012 Conference. According to Paramore, it was handled competently by organizers who removed the attacker and barred him from attending future conferences.

TAM 2012 speaker and writer for the Skepchick.org netwok, Amy Davis Roth leaves the conference early citing an "us against them" atmosphere she experienced. In a statement published by Ophelia Benson she also mentioned her exchange with Harriet Hall as well as her interaction with the TAM undercover security staff.

Harriet Hall wears t-shirt that says she's "not a 'skepchick'" at TAM2012

Hall is seen wearing the t-shirt for three days during the TAM 2012 conference in Las Vegas. The front had the below text with a smily face below it:

I FEEL SAFE AND WELCOME AT TAM

The back of the t-shirt said:

I'm a skeptic Not a "skepchick" Not a "woman skeptic" Just a skeptic

After receiving two alarmist emails from a stranger, Ophelia Benson withdraws from speaking at TAM2012 citing safety concerns due to her public advocacy on behalf of women.

In a lenghthy comment on Rebecca Watson's blog, DJ Grothe apologizes about his comments but maintains that he is still concerned about "misinformation" regarding safety at TAM.

Rebecca Watson states that due to both the abusive behavior at previous TAM conferences as well as DJ Grothe's comments which blamed "women skeptics for creating a hostile environment".
